Don't buy the premium package then. Fewer things to break, fewer things to leak (moonroof) :notsure:

That "NoOffroad4Me" character would have accused you of Price Pumping, whatever that means.

I'm not, it was more of an observation on pricing.

So you have to get an upgrade package to get a rear slider. Will be interesting to see what those upgrade packages run.

I’m curious what those packages contain. I hope it doesn’t mean you’ll need to drop an additional $9k if you want leather.

Anyone see if the “high mounted air intake” is an option for other than Trail Bunter trims? I checked a few of the sheets but lots of information all over the place.

The pricing on Upgrade and Premium pkg is where the sticker shock comes in

I'm now thinking that the iForce is going to perform like a diesel. 0-30 will be like a cat shot, 30-60 will be ho hum. You'll step on the pedal to pass someone at 60 and "don't ain't shit" will happen.

I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea.

I also wonder if the MAX is really necessary, especially if it's only adding torque and not power. I'd almost rather have the under-seat storage and not have to worry about battery decay.

Fellow Canuck here and I gotta say the addition of the heated steering wheel is a huge bonus...as I look outside at the additional 10cm's of snow we just got overnight.

I probably wouldn’t be worried about the batteries. Sure they’ll go bad eventually, but they have a 150k mile warranty and are super easy to get to.

The trucks are already expensive as is any car these days, so to me I think I’d also just stick with the more simple gas only.

Absolutely. The DCLB-OR I paid 36K for in 2019 (with tech package) would cost me 48K+ today assuming the base upgrade package, which basically gets you a rear slider and powerseats, LOL. Not even sure that includes a destination charge. Will need to baby my truck now as it needs to last until a PHEV or full electric option emerges.

The thing I have a concern about in the 4th gen is the center console. Toyota keeps doing this cockpit thing with new vehicles, and the center stack bigger and tighter against the driver.

My legs like to lean to the side a little, which means my knees might be eating the side of the console. The console in the 3rd gen is low, so it doesnt interfere. I have my doubts about this one..

The MAX will give a boost when you stomp the pedal to pass at 60 as well as on initial startup. Up to 48 horsepower of extra energy is “more power.”

I don't like all the electronic switches in front of the cupholders.... On the 3rd gen a spill is just a mess, on the newer ones a spill could cost thousands.

On target. The OffRoad basic will be what the builders will choose as always. They strip and replace everything suspension wise anyway. Replace bumpers, skids etc… they will be close to 100k once built for beating it on the rock trails.

It will be interesting how the little turbo is going to act with 35’s and a bunch of steel wrapped all around and loaded down with RTT’s, fridges, batteries and stuff.
