Nice where did you get those? "Vinyl Inserts" as in hub cap covers? Entire Rim covers?

Great looking truck, fantastic shell and that Bedrug is amazing. No knee pain, it doesn't absorb water and it's really tough. And to top everything off, you get to enjoy Tahoe with that vehicle.

Your truck makes the truck in the background look like a timid pansy. Even that shopping cart is steering clear of the Tacoma.

5 quarts of prime synthetic, new filter.

That stupid locking ring for the Fumoto was annoying to get off so I put the plastic clip back on. And the Motivx tools were as efficient as expected.

But ... damn it all ... I ONLY waited until 19983. Should I redrain and re-do the oil change at an even 20k?

Thanks! Don't know yet where we're going to wind up, but will be mid State or lower. Definitely want to leave the cold behind!

Not exactly something new, I've got a few friends that have been going south for several years. I know there are many from the northern States that come here, the Winters are nowhere near as cold, but for us it's cold!

Short answer, yes. But there's politics at work here too. Don't get me started. There is a dark side to all the smiling faces on these 'restoration' shows.

I started this project 30 years ago, at that time I bought a “basket case” a mostly complete bike with some key parts missing. Swap meets, adds, and some fabrication to complete the dream. The frame and motor are matching serial #’s which is essential to the overall value.

That's a great combo. Your Taco would look good with some 75's on there.
Edit: it already looks good. It would look better with 75's! It's fun to spend other people's money.

One key difference between Indian (Hendee) and H-D. No ID numbers on H-D frames in the early years. Not talking about casting #s. So you can have a correct year frame but there is really no way to tell if it is the original.

Installed my DD light bar. What a pain in the ass. Most of the problems could have possibly been avoided if I bought their brackets, but I didn't.
    PXL_20231129_131105345~2.jpg

I had to trim down the front of the bracket because the stump bumper bracket pushed it forward too far and it hit.

    PXL_20231126_153715428.PORTRAIT.ORIGINAL.jpg

When I got it in the light sat too high in the opening with the brackets bottomed out on the bolt. So I made a piece to attach to lower the light.

I'm happy with the way it sits now. Just need to wire it up one day.

It will. I have the exact same setup, but put 75's on which gave it another 1/2" netting 2" overall and filled the wheel wells better.
