I've been using a jet sled to drag deer out and load into the bed of the truck. I pretty much just lift one end up, prop it on the tailgate, then hit the other end with a big squat and lift/push it in the bed. I've been thinking of installing an eye bolt on the front accessory rail, tying a rope to the sled, long enough to feed through eye bolt and back to a nearby tree; then, just prop one side up, drive forward and let the truck do the heavy lifting part. Not sure I trust that amount of weight pulling on the accessory rail though. Maybe it'd be fine for the tie down D shackles at the front of the bed.

Well you might as well use a set of blocks too and make it easy. Already got a set of those with gambrel hook. Rig that to the tie down eyes up front and leave it in the truck hooked up for the season, add whatever bed length ramp and leave it in the truck.

Or have a 10’ ramp in your hip pocket all the time. And that ramp in the video really supported that Glendale buck target well. Lol

This is what I used for my buck this year. Had little over a 1/2 mile drag with most of it uphill. Logging road, but still uphill. Worked. Like. A. Charm!! From Harbor Freight. Shhh. Don't tell "She Who Must Be Obeyed" I took her landscape wagon.

…28 days later, the clean up buck comes around. Most of our neighborhood does still have fawns with them! I swear they just wait until this guy comes by!

That bucks rear left leg is funky. Shoot them off the top of the wall then roll them over into the truck bed.

That video using your truck with a pulley and rope to load the deer is pretty dam smart. But I'd still have to get the deer to the truck first :)

It looks like sitting on grandpa's lap is some pretty good medicine.

Cold as SHIT this morning!!!!! Ground has a decent snow covering from yesterday. Cole was feverish after Monday's hunt so we skipped yesterday - him due to being sick, me too windy!!!! His girlfriend now is sick and he felt worse this morning, so I went myself. Wasn't bad until 8:30 or so when the wind really started to kick up!!!! Even my Thermacell boot inserts weren't enough to keep me warm (they worked fine up until then). NO deer activity and only heard 1 shot in around 2 hours. Said 'fuck it' and went home. Supposed to be into the mid 40's tomorrow, but Cole has to go back to work, then rain Friday - Sunday. SHIT!!!! We do get the 16th and 17th as additional gun hunting days, so I told Cole to get healthy before then. I will be out again tomorrow.
