Probably not, 310-317 ft lbs torque in the non turbo is more than enough, I don’t even use the current V6 engine to its full potential as I drive the speed limit everywhere.

Max is going to be like diesel, all depends to the buyer if it is worth the upcharge. However unlike diesel towing capacity goes down. It is for the guys who like to race stop light to stop light. And there is always going to be those dumbasses who think too much power is never enough.

Personally I would rather have “max” efficiency, but Toyota told us guys to go pound sand. :)

is the TRD offroad only going to come in 4wd or will it have the option for 2wd? reason that I ask is because of the starting price of the current one is for 2wd

The 58K was initially shocking to say the least. But after looking at the list of what you get over the 2023, I can understand why. The OR premium has practically every creature comfort as my wife’s new Lexus NX 450H+. The new infotainment system is identical as well so there will be no learning curve for me. My only decision now is whether I should wait for the Max. I’ll hopefully be able to test drive a non hybrid in the new year. If the power is more than enough, and the hybrid only offers a couple more MPG’s then I can save some money by sticking with just the iforce.

Yikes... So the price difference between the current limited and 2024 is $8670, and this doesn't include the hybrid engine, correct?

    The '24 OR 4x4 starts at $44,395!

How much is the hybrid component estimated to be?

    Body-off view comparison.

Of note, the frame is wider and fully boxed. Wheelbase is 4" longer and width is 3"-6" wider (depending on trim), but overall length is the same. The cats are also tucked up close to the engine to help the engine heat up faster but also to prevent theft.

Not correct, the current Limited is 4x2 starting at $43,275, $45,925 with 4 wheel drive (which the 2024 only comes in). Yes it is still more, but you're getting additional features (that you may or may not want)
    • power running boards
    • power tailgate
    • 14" display standard
    • HUD
    • heated/cooled seats

I pulled info from here (https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a45963884/2024-toyota-tacoma-msrp/) 2024 Limited 4x4 $53,595, so $7,670. that's a big jump without the hybrid regardless of the extras.

If there's a $6-7k difference between Limited and Pro the pro is going to be $70K out the door!

TBH I would only be looking at a OR and that would be in a couple of years.

These up charges if true seem excessive. $8K for off road premium??? The current 4Runner is only $2500 to go from off-road to off-road premium.

I vaguely remember the 2019 Tacoma OR premium package was around $2k, then when I bought my truck in 2020 the premium package jumped up closer to 5k!

$9k for a premium package on an Offroad is just crazy. Taxes and dealers fees and all and we are talking about a 55k truck and not even the Pro!

Does somone know the difference between the premium package and the upgrade?

you have to pay 9k for a dual climiate control WTF? . you even get that now in the SR!

On the tundra it’s $4k more to add the hybrid.

So about the size of a pre-2000 full-size. So not terrible, could argue those were the perfect size trucks.

It’s crazy. That’s around $150 more a month added to the car loan just for that package.
