8.1L gas. Looked long and hard for the LBZ duramax but couldn’t find any with less than 200k miles for under $30k. This one popped up for $15.5k with 95k miles on it. It’s a gas hog but does everything I want and I only drive it hauling stuff.

Anyone have any experience with IRC tires? Looking around for some more street oriented tires in the sizes I need for the XT225 (2.75 - 21 front / 120/80 - 18 rear or any sizes close) and came across these at GREAT prices. Dang near the same tread pattern as the Shinko 244 / Kenda K270. Not much in the way of true street tires for a skinny front rear that arent $$$$

Sure it's a bit of savings if you're comparing new to new. I was meaning that i'd buy a lightly used 600 over a new or used ZX4R. the depreciated resale of a 600 and the few ZX4-RR's i've found is pretty much the exact same price.

ZX4 is so new that even used they’re going to be basically new prices though. Plus there’s still hype surrounding them.

Id love a ZX4RR to be honest. I just want 16k RPM.

Some came stock on my Rally(not sure of which model). They're not bad, but are a little washy in dirt if that makes sense.......didn't keep me from putting almost 5K miles on them  I decided to try the Tusk D sports for my next set.

Yeah these are going to be for 95% street use. Id love to put a full street tire on the XT, but no one makes a 21in front thats SKINNY (or an 18in rear thats 120mm or under width) that arent like 150+$ per tire.

I honestly have no complaints with the stock IRC's. They were fine, but if I pushed the bike hard often,,,,,,,would have changed them sooner. How I ride, I would have no problem buying take-offs from CRF owners that have to have new tires b/c they have read some posts and now believe they're good enough to need them

That seems to be a thing in the motorcycle world. Everyone has to have the best thing... but most will never utilize it. The T7 is a prime example. Extremely capable bike, and most are never ridden anywhere near what they are capable of. Seems to happen with loads of bikes.

I'll be the first to admit that the bike I want is way above my riding skill level/needs, but it's also the only option for the shaft drive. I'd take a smaller bike with the same features if it existed. I certainly don't need a liter bike.

And I honestly don't have a problem with it. I'm honest enough with myself that I know most things I have bought for my bike is b/c I liked the looks :D I'm confident in my skills, but wouldn't be able to hang anywhere near people like Pol Tarres, Graham Jarvis, Rossi, Hayden, etc..........I'm happy to just look the part

If it makes you feel any better I would get a Super Tenere and keep it as a pavement princess only…

I know we all have a degree of it, and that's not bad, but like @gixxerphil was saying about the tires. People ditch them because they think they need better when they won't exceed that stock tires abilities. I'm still rockin' stocks on the CB500X because that bike and those tires are way more capable than I am. LOL

If I get a Super Ten it'll be a 98% pavement bike too!

I've got a bit over 5K on mine. I'd be willing to bet less than 500 is off-road(most are to/from work). I bought it b/c I CAN take it off-road and camping with me. Until someone starts buying my shit for me..............Imma do what I want

Expect for a squatted truck. I wouldn't take a free one if I had to drive it that way

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Got a Xmas tree for the house and of course I bought myself something early today :)

The secret is to get something less capable so when you’re not as fast/good/whatever you can blame the bike and not yourself!

My little CRF300 fits that bill   I have a healthy respect, not a fear of it. I love the little thing, but have no doubt I could "handle" a bigger bike.
