This, I'm curious what reliability looks like once people throw on some 35's and some mileage, I want it to succeed. I really like the look of it and its a decent improvement in areas lacking (minus the stupid interior bits here and there, etc.). Given the issues Ive seen and delaers, owners with the Tundra, as much as I was gonna put down a deposit on a first allocation, I may wait especially seeing how the resale values went for clean 2020-2021 Tundras after the 2022's came out and have been out, willing to bet 3rd gens hold their value just fine. Went and test drove this yesterday, as the wife said I could have it if I want it, but even with $50k down just didnt make sense at current rates and just didnt feel comfortable to me though was pretty d**n cool non the less and not as hard to city drive as I thought.

I have it crammed with stuff as we speak, part of the reason I prefer the 6’, don’t like stuff stacked to the ceiling of the topper, need to see out the windows. While all my gear will fit in a DCLB, I’ll loose my sight lines.

And for the little stuff that I grab often it goes in the cab, much easier to toss it in the cab than fumbling with keys to put in the bed. Why I am annoyed that they ditched the AC. With the XtraCab, would have to walk around to the passenger side to toss stuff in. With my side business I am constantly running to the post office to ship stuff out. Quite literally use that driver’s side clam shell door daily. Actually stopping by the P.O. this morning on the way into the shop.

Seems like a huge missed opportunity to not add more interior space in the redesign.

Right, just like even 2 inches more knee room would have been nice.

Speaking of sight lines. Has anyone else noticed that it looks like the rear seats block more of the rear window than they used to. Stadium seating, battery storage nonsense.

I noticed that too, to the point the rear slider is basically pointless.

Haven’t, was a bit annoyed that the rear headrests in my AC don’t come out, but they don’t impede sight lines. Was going to rip out those worthless seats and swap in the utility plastic thing whatever it is called. But had to do a few emergency passenger hauls, so left them. Aren’t in the way as much as I thought they would be.

Had to crawl through the slider in my old truck a couple times because accidentally locking the keys in. New slider that ain’t gonna happen! Use it mostly for airflow anyways.

Not much into halo vehicles, but that is a good looking truck. Would definitely take that over a Tacoma Pro given the choice.

First time in my life I could definitely afford one without issue, drove it and wasnt overly excited like I thought I would be, put it in Sport mode and everything, definitely rode nice, the future daughter would be riding in style in the pickup line, but like you said it just didnt fit me, they made a fair trade offer too, $40k and their truck was $81k (2023 Raptor 801A w/37package 8k miles some old dude traded for a new Vette).

Isn’t that funny, like a cat turning its nose up at a dish of fine food. Lust after something, then when you get it, go meh… lol!

While I do like the Ford’s, the ergonomics in the Toyotas fit me better.

From what I saw in reviews, lies. Still looks as cramped as ever.

Weird right, maybe my old age or maybe I'm Tacoma brainwashed, just walked away even this morning when they offered another $1k off. Dave Ramsey would be proud. Though he did ask if I was putting cash down for the rest and I said who pays cash for an $80k truck and he said, he's seen 20 year olds and I'm like man I f**ked up in life or need to start selling drugs.

What does that even mean? Does the front seat just not slide back as far as it used to or is the cab actually bigger?

Not necessarily. I saw in a video where the drivers seat actually pulls up and forwards giving access to the back area .. there's lockable compartments back there. The seat doesn't loose its "memory"... It goes back to where it was set

The passenger side seat folds into a table top .. leaving the truck a 1 seater.. it's not bad as a small utility work truck

The head engineer said they did NOT want to make the overall length any longer than the current gen due to the fact that owner surveys dictate that most folks want something they can park easily in the city and in a garage... They widened the truck a smidge, but stuck with the same length

Guess it was kinda difficult to squeeze more interior room out of the current length

I see the CV joints are rusting as quickly as my $2k RCV axles
