What’s really concerning is the people that had their engine replaced/rebuilt and then had the new engine seize too. That makes it seem like it’s more than just a not cleaning the block during assembly issue and is a design flaw with the engine.

 

Yup. If all employers increased pay it’s not going to stop inflation it’s going to make it even worse as all labor now costs much more.

You're making it sound like Toyota is the only one increasing. They all are, up in Canada they have jeep wrangler Rubis going for over 70k....thats ridiculous!

 

I agree. And the truth is most consumers will not think twice about going into crippling debt just to drive a cool vehicle.

 

I heard UAW is trying to lure Toyota workers to unite, and reap the benefits of organization.

 

Kind of like when the new iPhone comes out

Well prices may come down on components eventually which sometimes causes a ripple effect so it may happen

 

I don’t think there is a solution but you can clearly see what has happened since wages have gone up. It’s now $3 for a small fries at McDonald’s. We’re all screwed.

 

Come on now....there are a lot of things a person can do to improve help themselves when there is high inflation and stagnant wage increase.

 

I agree with you. But I also think people should be paid appropriately for their labor.

 

I agree, but the question is what is a fair price and my answer would be what the market decides.

My wife wanted to get my daughter McDonald’s and she wound up picking up something for me and for herself and spent almost $40.

And this is just one hamburger, a chicken sandwich, fries, some drinks, and a kids meal.
and I’m just like this food is not that good to spend $40 on it. That’s why I don’t go there anymore.

Just like yet another bloated midsize pick up truck is not that impressive to spend $50,000 on one.

I don’t care that other car manufacturers charge the same amount of money or people buy them on 84 month mortgages.

Mass stupidity is still stupidity.

I haven’t purchased anything at a McDonald’s in 15 years.

 

Same, however pregnant wife was craving five guys and ended up paying $14 flipping dollars for one bacon cheesburger, I was like WTF.

 

I try not to, but my daughter sometimes craves American fast food, probably because the other kids in school share this garbage with her.

I’m pretty sure all children have only two taste buds, one for sweet things and one for greasy things.
