Noticed last week after I put the new H9 bulbs in my low beams that it kept shutting off.
I hit a bump and it would come back on and then it finally shut off.
I checked it today and this is what I found.
What would be the correct fix for this?

Can I get a new connector from the auto parts store or is it a Toyota part?

If there’s too much corrosion maybe best to cut and rewire a new connector.

Any decent parts store should be able to find a pig-tail harness. They're on every car that uses H9 bulbs

If you’re going to continue to run the hotter/brighter h9 bulb get a ceramic connector for both sides and make sure you are using a quality bulb like Osram, Phillips, Hella, Piaa.

Some of these bulbs are pricey though and their life is short.

For me I still prefer a decent drop in HID kit for under $100. Ive had good luck using them in Toyota projectors and the bulbs last 10 times longer and are brighter.

I currently am using a Phillips bulb. I know it's my fault that the connector failed. I looked at the bulb and noticed the tabbed wasn't completely shaved off. So it wasn't making a complete connection
I'm going to buy a h9 connector today

I've tried the LED bulbs and they didn't work well for me. Didn't seem any brighter

I know they are brighter, but for the life of me I couldn't tell any real world difference after installing H9's.
I'll go another route, or back to OEM for the sake of longevity when these blow.

The human eye is many things, but *Precise* is not necessarily one of them.

We have a fantastic, frankly, dynamic range that we can adapt to, from extremely low intensity light to extremely high. That range comes at a cost, and the cost is that we don't have the equipment necessary to perceive light changes smoothly/linearly. Our perception is roughly logarithmic, meaning it takes an approximately 40% increase/decrease in intensity, with every other parameter being equal, for us to discern a difference.

The H9 upgrade from a standard H11 bulb provides roughly that bump. Put a frewh H11 in one lamp, a fresh H9nin the other, and the H9 is bright enough that you'll see the difference. But that doesn't translate as dramstically under "real world use."

But Crash's testing has shown that a bog-standard H9 is capable of beating the intensity increase of most performance H11 bulbs. What his pics also show is that the intensity gradient is less pronounced with the H9 vs a performance H11. Whereas a performance H11 provides a hihher intensity hotspot (as intended), and what is likely comparable intensity elsewhere in the beam, an H9 is putting its extra light to work throughout the entire beam pattern. So, again, driving around in the real world, our eyes are seeing all of that extra light. The H9 still packs the hotspot intensity punch to increase maximum illumination distance, but its also illuminating everything in the mid and foreground better as well.

You *Are* seeing better, even if you don't necessarily feel that way.

You should of pulled that green insert out of connector, instead of shaving tab. Plugs right with green insert removed.

Am I wired right? I turned the lights on and still didn't turn on.
I thought blue wire to blue wire and red wire to white wire.

Edit unwired it and switched the wires and I still don't have a bulb that turns on.

That's what I thought. I'll check the bulb later when I get home.
