That truck does have a hood scoop and I don't believe it is functional.

Burbank is 140miles away from the border

However, CBX is on the border of Mexico and people park their vehicles there every day... They're even there when they get back.

Duallies are high targets amongst cartel members, I have heard.

A common method of smuggling was to steal a high clearance dually, load it up, and drive it across a low spot in the Rio. If it gets stuck, who cares, just abandon it. Few years ago a friend got approached by the ATF because their truck was found in the middle of the river after being involved in a brief chase with the Border Patrol. Trouble was, the friend had sold their truck to Carmax 4 months prior. We found out later that Carmax never updated the title to reflect the sale (oops) and the truck got "lost" on a transfer to the auction house.

They wouldn't tell us what the truck was hauling when it got found.

The insurance company will put as little effort as possible to get in touch with the Mexican federal police and other local authorities to confirm the status of the truck while the owner is fiercely making calls to public officials who typically don’t give a shit about getting off their asses unless they are legitimately bribed.

This is a nightmare scenario, it would’ve been better if this thing showed up in a washed out river bed with a few hundred bullet holes and on fire.

That was a nice truck. What’s sad is the airport parking isn’t liable, the police dont do squat (same in Ohio where my bro had two motorcycles stolen) and the insurance company doesn’t go after the cops or parking lots to find out what happened. We need capital punishment here like Singapore. People would shape up really quick.

Know who pays for it all? All of us in increased insurance prices because everyone turns a blind eye. Same at the stores where people steal shoes, tools, video games, etc.

    /rant.

I had a car broken into at the Denver airport. It was parked at the long-term parking garage. They tried to start the engine, but just managed to bugger up the ignition and break the window.

I called the insurance company who told me that I needed a police report to confirm this vehicle had been broken into.

I called the airport police who never showed up.

I called the Denver Police Department who claimed that they aren’t responsible for the airport and maybe I should call the airport police or the sheriff.

The sheriff said that they are not responsible for the airport and maybe I should call the Denver Police Department or the airport police.

I never got a police report and wound up arguing with the insurance company (State Farm).

Eventually I just had the car fixed out of my own pocket with junkyard parts.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I had the pleasure of holding the front door for two criminals with a shopping cart full of stuff. The manager ran out yelling at them but they leisurely walked to a waiting U-Haul truck, loaded it up and drove away.

My cousin's then-new 2017 RAV4 XLE was vandalized in the parking lot of Philly Airport while she was on vacation. Specifically, it was keyed, or more likely knifed based on the damage. Insurance paid to fix it if I remember correctly. By all accounts, somebody was jealous of my cousin's new car and gouged the paint with a knife because they wanted what they couldn't have.

I had a sticker on my rear window, the topic of which cannot be discussed openly on TW, but you all can probably figure it out; I was out and about with the girlfriend last June and we stopped at Wawa for lunch. We were in there maybe ten minutes. Somebody didn't agree with the statement plastered on my window, so they put an industrial-strength sticker with a statement I did not agree with on my bumper bar. There was no actual damage to my truck, but the sticker was a bitch to get off, and the point here is that you don't touch somebody's private property. I have stopped putting certain things on my truck, because people around here are snowflakes with no respect for the property of others.

So you unknowingly helped shoplifters get away?!?! This is kind of like in Spider-Man where Peter Park holds the elevator for the robber who held up the wrestling promoter who ripped him off, and then the robber shoots his Uncle Ben in a carjacking...

I thought of this post on the way home when a new TRX just passed me. Now I'm only on a 1" lift in a midsized truck, but I still wasn't expecting to crane my neck to even see the side mirrors of that Canyonero.

...I thought that they were supposed to be built on a 1500 frame. That sumbitch is big enough to have a walk-in shower on board.

I liked them until I really saw it against mine. It's too much truck. :anonymous::anonymous:

If there is one thing I have learned its the older I get, the fewer opinions I will freely share.

Which is the complete and absolute opposite of what I expected to happen. How disappointing. Or is that supposed to happen after retirement? Is that it? "I ain't answering to no HR anmore, so here is a lifetime of incendiary shit that's been building up."

Depends, but I prefer not to share them with everyone who is within eyesight of my truck..since people are assholes. I limit my "opinion" decals to metal bands.
