The first Tesla's were also $70k+ for the Model S, less than a decade later and now the Model Y is the best selling vehicle in the world. Just gotta give it some time for all the infrastructure investment costs to build out these EV plants is recouped.

That is for the RS1, since I run a topper wanted similar continuous under roof cargo storage. Also with the max battery and all terrain upgrade. Trying to get the range close to the Tacoma, Generally average 365-380 per tank. If I baby it can squeak out 400.

Sales tax is 6% in Idaho.

edit: looks like it came in cheaper. Been awhile since I built one, last time it was $120K.

Still $105K isn’t exactly chump change.

Yeah, why I am taking the Toyota way of things, sitting back and watching how it all plays out. Too much compromise/inconvenience with EVs currently.

Goat, don’t be ridiculous. Just because you have a topper doesn’t mean you can’t pick the truck and add a box on it. You must have checked nearly every box to get that SUV Rivian price.

Hey, I cross shopped with a Porsche eTaycan’t as long as it has everything my current truck has, and look at these damn prices!

After considering a Corvette C8 for a couple of years, then buying a BMW X5, I no longer wince at six figures. I should really blame tequila.

The box on the truck isn’t deep enough. Why I don’t like DCSB Tacomas.

You should go price out earth moving equipment. Makes Vettes and BMWs…look like poverty vehicles.

For an example a John Deere 755K crawler loader is north of $300K, and that is a fairly medium duty machine.

    It was a joke.

Notice a lot of people like to one up each other about their socioeconomic status, it is all relative…

Glad I am out of the construction/excavation business that is for sure…the overhead is insane.

I guess a vegan that does crossfit and is EV obsessed and also a Tacomaphile would be obnoxious AF LOL, however such an individual probably doesn't exist (hopefully).
