That's what I'm leaning towards again now, though I've gone back and forth a dozen times between these options. Something that I can get ~30 MPG out of, but still AWD so I don't have to take the truck to work every time there's bad weather. And nice enough where I don't hate it. I noticed used prices have been going down, which may be why dealers have been hesitant to go up in trade value on my truck.

Part of what's super appealing about that option is trading this truck means I can't easily go back. They aren't made anymore and so few were made in the first place that finding one again would be tough. I genuinely believe my truck is perfectly optioned. Unfortunately, there aren't many other members of the loaded extended cab truck cult.

I work for a municipal recreation department and we used to hire a coach by the name of Brian Young to run our local soccer camp in the summer. One year he came to camp and asked if I wanted 75 soccer balls for free. I said sure, why are you getting rid of them. He said that the company he bought the balls from for the camp had printed Brain Young Soccer Camp on the balls and he was not going to give them out to the players.

Just so you know I was just kidding around.

They are really for dust though not for water. Most likely it was the electronics that got wet and stopped it from running.

I think it was the ocean that got in and made it not work!

Begs the question… what size tires do I need to get my truck to float? We’ll try it on Drew’s first:D

I read that book too. Go getter sales guys like to hit their mark right after the first of the month if they can. They'll be willing to deal early on. The guys that are up against a wall at the end of the month will want to deal then. Keep in mind, that if they don't sell, their kids eat Ramen noodles. Don't hit your mark a few months in a row and you're out the door.

Note that I use the term "hit their mark" and don't know if that's what they use in the auto industry. I learned it from a friend who worked in a different cutthroat industry.

I definitely need to read the modern version of Remar's tome that's for sure.

And you get some zealots who hand them out like candy, or at least like to pull people over just to bust my...err, their balls.

Slammed together a little retail display for cutting boards. The ones in the rack for the pics are unfinished/no good. Next up is to batch out ten or so to deliver to the consigner along with the display.

Where/when? I have half a day left, if it's local, I might be convinced. But it's a strong maybe at best, to be fair.

You'll want to go with someone ( ) who knows a couple of the "unmarked" trails around there, otherwise it's pretty tame/boring stuff. It's been a while since I've been out there. I'd have to look at Gaia and see if I recorded anything out there. You can spend a day or two out there and have some fun for sure.
