Anyone who appreciates a quality instrument, or just good craftsmanship could definitely appreciate it! I am very blessed to have it. I have taken good care of it. When I played in bands, it got waxed regularly. Now, it gets done every year or so.

Thank goodness companies like GoFastCampers exist and make comparable products for our Tacomas, otherwise I'd be tempted to buy that giant monstrosity of Elon garbage! LOL what a poopmobile created by a poop person.

I will say though the 220V tankless shower is very cool. Don't think I can fit enough lithium batteries in mine to make that happen but it would be pretty sweet.

Edit: If you want a laugh, go read other posts on that crazy lady's Twitter/X account. I bet if you look up "dick riding Tesla shill" in the dictionary you'd find her headshot.

Cybertruck, all kitted out for overlanding.

The only thing missing was the trailer with the diesel powered generator to recharge it.

I thought the hive would be amused by the effort to make it into an overlander.

Redneck ingenuity. It's not rocket appliances.

Pointed the Mr. Heater at the skid plate. Like a block heater its warming the engine and the radiator.
Warm air is coming up out of the grill like a heat vent. :anonymous:

I am super impressed with this as well. It's a great real world project for your students to learn on.

Well as you probably know, you got to embarrass yourself in public a couple of times. First. The church gigs pay a little bit, basically grocery and gas money although not that much given everything these days... But started out with small bar gigs. 50 bucks here 75 bucks there, 20 bucks out of a tip jar. Goes up from there. You really got to read your crowd and get a good set of covers that sound good for the audience you're playing. Once you've got a solid groove with the people, your bargaining attendance turns up and they start hiring you more and you start getting a little bit of word of mouth to the other local bars and you just go from there. Festivals pay okay, but you get a lot of fun people who generally will follow you to your next gig or two. The real money is with the corporate gigs, but I haven't had one of those in forever. Basically background jazz music... As a bass player. You're indispensable to those venues, but groups that do that tend to be pretty solid and have their own people. Wedding gigs also pay decent, but those are tons of work.

Personally wouldn't use wax on an instrument. Won't hurt it. I just don't like the feel and residue. I do use a little bit of Old English to keep the wood nice and fresh since that's true lem oil.

I respect people who play stringed instruments and get up and perform. Can't do it.
I'm a self taught fiddler that plays(ed) for enjoyment. meaning, not very good. :D

Whenever I see his name it reminds me of Sheldon Brown the influential bicycle mechanic who was a huge resource back in the Usenet days. He was the reason I started riding fixed gear bikes back before they became fashionable.

Warwick recommends wax. The wood is not sealed, so it requires protection. It goes on thin and then you buff it off. I used the Warwick stuff at first, but switched to SC Johnson paste wax.

Believe me, the neck feels like a million bucks.

Too bad they discontinued the Johnson paste wax last year.

Well, WTF? I guess I'll be switching back to the Warwick stuff, or looking for something different. Luckily the can I have now will probably last a few more years.

Edit: apparently I bought Minnwax last time.
