Car Detailed now this…

Got my car detailed today. When they finished I notice that the plastic part by the back fender is now covered in white splotches. It wasn’t there before they detailed, they’re claiming it was and said they didn’t wax that area…they waxed the entire car. Any shot anyone knows how to fix it? Tried wiping it and seems like it could be permanent.

 

It looks like they were using a buffing device and by the time they noticed it was damaging the protective film, it was too late. Might try wet sanding it with really fine grit paper. Do you have any ‘before’ photos?

 

Definitely looks.like a buffer got at it. Just peel it off and replace if you want it.

 

Have them fix it, and tell them you won’t be taken advantage of just because you’re a female and they think you’re as incompetent as whomever they let do that to your truck.

 

I used to detail, and if it’s just a “normal” detail they should never hit it with a machine.

that’s an up charge service. Don’t know why they did that. they have cash to fix it, or insurance. Put their name on blast. It’s a 2021
