My neighbor across the street is a retired lineman, he's an oddball for sure. And climbing the pole beat him up physically, he's barely 65 and has a hard time getting around.

My neighbor is in great shape for a retired lineman. He has a huge garden, mowes along the highway, takes care of his mother-in-law, this guy never slowes down. Brings us eggs from his chickens. And the list goes on.:D:thumbsup:

Them guys make good money, but they earn it. I have several friends who are, or were lineman.

Left my thermacell at the house and its only a high of 83 and muggy today. It's ok though, seems like they can only bite ya about 200 times before they get tired of your taste. Saw that bear chasing a big hog this morning. Few doe, about 350 yards away. I need to fill my doe tag this weekend.

It's my niece-in-law's birthday so she invited a few friends to stay over.

I'm absolutely not used to how loud a group of four 24 year old females are.

My noise cancelling headphones are doing their best.

Also, It's probably a good thing my kid didn't come home from campus this weekend. I don't think my driveway has room for 7 cars!

Another fun (backbreaking) day in the cellar, working on the new 10" cold air return from the pantry.

I think if I was Fargos kid I wouldve come home to hang with the 24 year old ladies.

In an effort to bridge the gap and give myself a reasonable shot distance wise I figured I would lay prone about 150 yards closer to where I saw does cross earlier. I was engulfed in skeeters and quickly retreated to my normal spot. Big bear just crossed right where I was laying 10 minutes before dark. Eeek

One of them is his cousin.

He's being a good boy and working on homework and studying for finals in a few weeks.

Apparently the Four Musketeers are going to a show. Said show starts at 8:00.

For those not adept at time zone conversion, that was 39 minutes ago. And they haven't left the house yet.

I'll never complain that my wife isn't ready to go again.

Last three are finished. I ended up building 11 Christmas trees for various friends and family, and three different sizes and two different colors were offered. I am now done building presents shaped like Christmas trees. I also like having a Bob Ross moment lol. Pic:20231202_230009.jpg
My next project is hand carving a Harry Potter Wand for my granddaughter. My daughter bought over one picture and said make this. I did a bit of research and it seems the wand is carved from a Holly Branch a d is 11" long.
I currently have, in my wife's oven, a Holly branch set for two hours at 190 degrees. Should be dry and ready for carving tomorrow.
My life is a bit different... and my wife didn't even question a branch on a cookie sheet in the oven.
