Hey all, new member and Taco owner. I was hoping to get some advice on improving performance. I am by no means an expert and am looking for some relatively easy purchases/installs to get my feet wet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 2020 SR5 3.5 4x4

    Thanks!

Lots of forums on here with lots of info depending on what you're looking for.

What key areas are you looking to improve? Ride quality? Off-road? Aesthetics?

My main areas would probably be power and off-road improvements.

Getting a “tune” really made a difference in the drive ability of my runner...plenty of info in here or you can ping my favorite tuner @tonered for more info...

Supercharger for power and Tires first for off road performance.

Ya to mimick what others have said do tires first. I did lift first but tires are the best bang for your buck out the gate (especially if you have low mileage on the suspension anyways). After that I would do a 2in lift. I wish I had done OME with the softer shocks but I did 5100 and it's still better than stock. Assess if you need to AAL or just do a new leaf pack. I had over 120k on the leafs and did AAL. Bent the leafs about 2k miles after installing them and had to do a new pack anyways (Ironman has both leafs, u bolts and bushing for like $600...).

I feel like power is subjective because it depends on what you need. I feel totally fine in my "stock" gen 2. A tune is something I'm planning and regearing way down the line but neither of those feel like I need them now.

Honestly, lots of YouTube videos and forums here to help. Just search around and you'll find what you want. But I would stray away from buy once cry once until you actually know what you want. No use in putting $4k suspension on if you never really need it.

I would definitely go for the tune. OT Tune for me completely changed my perspective regarding power. The v6 is a little underwhelming in general, the stock tune makes it seem far worse than it actually is, IMO.
