The dynamic on the radio just cracks me up. From us making fun of your supercharger woes to "who shit themselves". Good stuff. I'm grateful I have so many memories saved in video, I'll need to get a dash cam on Foley for the future adventures.

It's OK. Mike said he's going to start a public thread for the next trip. At least, I think that's what he said. It was a long discussion where I was trying to convince him to use PMs and he was like, "there are so many people I want to have join us."

Edit: Everything good on the home front? (I hope!)

That doesn't sound like a mike at all..

But I'm all for that always!

Yeah things are going well. Devin is putting weight on her leg which is great. She was able to go to work herself. And can now get in and out of the shower herself. So pretty good overall!

So who's had a front wheel bearing go out on them? Im starting to think thats my issue. Sound is finally happening at lower speed and rolling the window down I can hear its the driver front wheel. It sounds like a rock in the brake. But its intermintent and has been happening for a while now so I don't think it's an actual rock. I've bent the sheild around a lot to try and get anything to fall out.

I did do fresh wheel bearings in the front when I was chasing a previous sound and it turned to be the rears going out and blew up on my trip to Utah on Top of the World(Ben and the Bretts no doubt should remember this). However, during a brake caliper swap a bolt snaped off on a spindle and I couldn't get it out and ended up having to get a junk yard spindle so no fresh bearing in that spindle. So wouldn't surprise me.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I've had a front wheel bearing go out. Sounded like grinding/scraping at low and medium speeds, especially turning and it was actually wobbling enough that it wore one of my tires weird.

Had one go out on our 2nd gen, wasn't much scraping noises more slight vibration and lower toned when turning. My single cab used to have one of the brake pad retainers pop out from time to time and scrape the inside of the rim, that sounded like a rock, might check that

Hm this started at high speeds and now is at pretty much any speed. I haven't jacked it up yet to see if it wobbles.

Ah good idea I'll check that too.

Check it for play. I had a vibration for over a year I could not find. Replaced the wheel bearing on the side that made sense when loaded unloaded in turns with no luck. Eventually found it had play in it during a trip to the middle of nowhere. Temp gun did not indicate any difference in temps from one spindle to the other.

yep. hands at 12 and 6 generally rules out anything in the steering system. Should have play in any position though.

12 and 6 should be ball joints and 9 and 3 should be tie rods and steering rack

Correct, but youre not going to feel the lower bj with the spring acting on it. The upper is a possibility and pretty easy to see right in front of you.

Yep! Another Boy. We made it home Saturday, just taking it easy getting used to the new family dynamic. Heather is good, still recovering a little bit but all is well.
