I’ve put the same dollar amount into fixing my dish washer as it cost to buy. It’s a “made in America” whirlpool. I’ve had to buy a pump, heating element, and soap dispenser. Well over $600 for those parts and the dishwasher was 599 on sale

We’re getting an early Christmas present of 8-12” of snow overnight, even though the ground is basically mud and grass. So that’s fun. I’ve been scrambling to get things put away for winter, smoking some ribs, and absent mindedly feeding the fire. Looks like I’ve made a bit of a mistake.IMG_6123.jpg

I’ve sent this picture to a few of my local friends. They’ve all asked if I was trying to get the wife to shed a layer or two. Well,
Should the snow be the only early Christmas present?:anonymous::rofl::rofl:

You should up date that thermostat with a programable unit. Over 20 years ago I made my money back upgrading mine in single month.

Speaking of appliance issues..our maytag electric range is having trouble. One of the burners works on high only, and another one has a dead section. I've been trying to find diagnostics for it but that's proving a difficult google. Always something

We’ve got a number of these in the house. The hot water baseboard almost never gets used, cause I keep the ol’ hearthstone fed and happy. It’s the benefit of living in the Pine Tree State I guess (although I don’t feed the stove softwood)

I got a harbor freight 1000 lb lift table. Pretty cool item for all you shop rats. Mine will be used in my wood shop to hold a planer. But I could see so many other uses for it.
It's about 150 lbs, got it in the basement by myself.
    20231203_165400.jpg
And every review I have seen or read say the sa.e thing, the boxes are always blown out from shipping and the wheels break through the box.
    20231203_165413.jpg
Cut the bands and lift the cover and this is what you see.20231203_165613.jpg
And of course some hardware was missing. They don't put it in a parts bag and just put it on the handle finger tight and then the bolts rattle loose in shipping and fall out the holes in the box, very common complaint. I found some hardware in my shop, the black ones are my replacements. 20231203_170838.jpg
But it works excellent, easy to operate foot pump and the release handle is easy to controll how fast it goes down.
    20231203_172228.jpg
The cart has to go where this wood is so I have to find a place for it, lol. 20231203_172618.jpg
I found a 20% off coupon online for it, normally $369 coupon brought it down to $295. It's going to be great for my new planer.

Skippy. I don’t really eat peanut butter so I couldn’t tell you which is better.
