I'm very much looking forward to that. Most likely it will be after the new year.

I usually use a bungee cord to keep my suitcase weights from clanging around in the winter, but that never worked perfectly. I decided to waste a little time making something more robust from stuff I had laying around

This is a consumer grade ZT for sure. It's a high grade one though; for example the hydro drives have spin-on filters, and the deck is fabricated and very meaty. It's not so much the quality of the materials that bugs me, it's the brain-dead engineering and design decisions.

    23HP Kohler v-twin, 720-ish cc's. I don't put 15/50 in it, it gets 10/30.

The new starter spins it over without even trying hard. A proper sized battery for the job.

They are actually super easy, just hang on the frame. No rack to attach or anything. Obviously, I remove my clamp mod first so I am not lifting all of them at once.

what you guys doing with those baby weights on those lawnmowers?

and you both have turf tires with chains.... yall crack me up.

dont want no chains chewing up my concrete!

every thing spins on ice though. even AGs. a good blade is key!

i run this, anybody else got one? https://shop.agricover.com/product/snowsportlt

granted i run it on my tractor, mini truck & ZT,
its manual adjust swing, but its very versatile & wont tear up your gravel, asphalt, concrete, bricks or even hurt your grass!

they pricey, but have had it for 10 years & still works perfect.

heres a reall good video: https://youtu.be/ZxcuWKCcOPY?feature=shared

I have a 44" snowblower attachment. The chains aren't really needed on the solid driveway, but as soon as I go clear anything on the lawn it'd be hopeless without them.

    just funnin ya.

i get it, trying to get some traction & all. AND anything is better than a shovel.
even then with the blade.... there is always a spot that takes a shovel at my place.

do you guys not have 4 wheelers, sidexsides, or tractors?
do you have enough snow for a blower?

when was a kid we had a blade for the troy built. That was the first thing we ever got after a shovel.

now days its all about temperature.
if its blue balls cold? i put it on the mini truck & sit inside with the heater running.
if its not real windy/cold? the tractor is better to see with.
pretty rare that i mount it on the ZT in the winter, thats usually a yard clean up thing.

now putting this alum/rubber blade on the excavator mounted to the pusher blade? already been planning that, but again: if its real cold will sit in the mini truck with the heater running. Ya gotta get out & flip the blade from side to side, but that minimal vs being out in the cold all the time.
