Did you not watch the video and hear her say he can keep it in his driveway and then have it hauled off?

Why would they not let the homeowner put it up somewhere else on his property. Since when can they come and remove something you paid for and just leave. Thats bullshit.

    Fuck Delaware.

Ermm...If it's a violation of law/code...It's a violation of law/code. If he was served notice to remove it prior to this event (which it sounds like he was...) It should be been taking care of by him instead of wasting tax payer dollars to do it.

Either way. They said he could keep it if that's what he wanted. Then the stupid blond lied twice on camera saying she never said that.

Thank god I live in Arizona. I sent Delawares DOT an email.

I did after there was actually a video there. There wasn't a video when I first posted.

You'd think the State of Delaware would have better things to worry about. Although I'm surprised people can have permanent poles setup like that facing into the street to begin with I know a lot of places that will have a fit about having even portable ones setup in the same place.

    Indeed.

Yeah...She's an idiot...but he's not far behind. There was a way to avoid the whole thing a while back...and he chose not to. Doesn't make it right for her to lie...but certainly make me care a whole lot less...

Hell yeah! I'd do the same thing! Thankfully they have a video of everything that happened! I wish there was a follow up video. I'd have to kick someone in the dick!

Since it's the DOT involved, I'd think it has something to do with it's location and people playing in the street. Granted his was in a cultesac where there isn't through traffic, but I'd imagine that's the issue.

And you'd end up out another couple hundred bucks and an afternoon.

I'm gunna guess a neighbor didn't like it and complained setting the whole saga in motion. It's a good reason to be friendly and talk with neighbors...

Yea I think they referenced something about a neighbor at the end of the street. I have plenty of neighbors that complain for the sake of complaining.

I would mount my mail box to it. Then they can't take it or it would be tampering with the US Mail.
