Had my ws replaced 4 or 5 years ago. Have had trouble with a leak in the pass floorboard only a couple times but I think I fixed that, pretty sure it was water getting through the cowl.

Was detailing my truck today and noticed these holes. Would this cause any substantial leak anywhere during a heavy rain? This is the top corner of each side. Thought about shooting some black silly cone in there.

No, those are just cosmetic filler pieces that run along the roof tracks. They provide no sealing action at all.

Roll the windows up, turn the blower on high (recirc off), close the doors, and spray some soapy water around the area to see if it's leaking there.

Someone has already filled the gap on the passenger side. I’d be more concerned with the possible rust underneath the moulding. You can see what looks like rust forming from when the installer replaced the windshield.

Looks like I’m about 3 hours Northeast of you. PM me if you’d like a new moulding installed.

What would be the benefit of the new molding? Only thing I would worry about is leaks but as far as I can tell it's not causing a leak. The rust is just cosmetic from what I can tell.

I would remove the windshield, remove the rust with a fiber wheel, and then treat the pitchweld with 5404 primer and reinstall the windshield with a new moulding. If you want you could upgrade to a gen3 windshield with acoustic interlayer like I did on my 2015.

...rust keeps rusting until you do something about it to slow it from rusting further.....i wouldn't be happy at all with that lack of prep, gap, etc., and if i had to do it (prep) myself,i would make sure that i first had the seals on hand, then remove the windshield, clean it up properly, and have whoever properly re-install a windshield....
