As far as vintage goes, most require spacers. Best to test fit first and see what you can get away with.

Got a text from the wife yesterday while I was at the office and she was home.

"Uh excuse me, what are all these boxes from Japan that look like wheels?" HAHAHA

16x8 -10 Bridgestone Berg SIV - Purchased from Kyusha Garage on Instagram.

Kyushagarage on instagram is a pretty good resource. Was a little disappointed in the packaging but they aren't new or in a finished look yet so I don't see any damage but it could have happened if dropped or tossed around. Decent prices, shipping took a while but it was the cheapest shipping so I expected as much. Also, if you purchase from him ask for more detailed photos. The gold paint is flaking at some fo the bolt holes which is probably common for the age, but I couldn't see it in the original photos.

Happy with the purchase, been looking for a LONG time for this set or Crags in an offset that I could fit on the truck. I'm also surprised they don't poke as much as I thought they would. Its just under an inch.
So with Pathfinder fenders up front, they will sit perfect. The rear I still ahve not decided what to do. But I have time. Ill need to get these polished and I think I will redo the centers.

"excuse me, what are all these" ...
    Heard that one before.

I've got a set of 16" WORK Crag Urban that I've been meaning to refinish. Most of these vintage sets need spacers to clear the Tacoma calipers. How's the hub on yours look; it hi-disc clearance by chance?

    Same here!

Ill get some photos up tonight, but I have zero clearance issues. its a 101 (4 in) center bore so hub clears on these which is 108 I think?

I finally Got around to test fitting one of my carvings today. The barrel of the wheel rubs the caliper ever so slightly. I will likely have to grind the calipers or run spacers:(
That Being said, if anyone is interested, I might be willing to sell, or trade for 17’s. 72178446763__4726F128-685C-4CF2-852D-76B94B9BB0DE.jpg

That packaging is terrible and is triggering flashbacks! Last set of wheels I ordered which were packaged like that came chipped due to having been dropped during shipping. I can't understand how people think that they are well protected when packaged like that :( Glad to hear they made it safely.

That style of packaging is actually fairly standard.
Ask specifically for boxes if preferred.

Yeah, I've seen it used a lot. Doesn't mean it's any good. I'm sure it can be done better or worse but in the instances I've seen it really leaves open the danger you'll drop a wheel with it's full weight right on the lip. Chipped the fresh powder coating right off my wheels in a couple locations and put some small dents in the lip. :(

Wonder what the price for step up lips would be? Make them 17" and clear the caliper at the same time.

    Maybe look here for help.

I may look into that. Not sure yet what I’ll do. I love these wheels, and like to stay 16”. I’m going to try a 1” spacer and see if that buys me the clearance I need before I get too carried away. The lips are real nice (for 20yr old+ wheels) so I would hate to toss them.

Research before you buy. I dont know about your personal experience with VR, but they do not have a stellar reputation.

I bought 1 set of volks and have bought a set of bbs rs...many years ago. Also bought lips and bolts from them. Never had an issue. But things may have changed since then I guess.

Also purchased wheels from them years ago (2010 or so) but yes -- things have changed.
