What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Not today, but tried and (predictably) failed to get my buddy and his trailer out of the mud. Ended up succeeding with a skid steer.

 

i want to get something like this for my tacoma, except i have a truck cap. i wish i was smart enough to build a new light for the canopy, with a yellow/ red dust lamp, and a bright FU lamp

 

Nothing much today just this. Toyota should’ve done this from the factory.

 

That and a display for the outside temperature would have been helpful.

 

Damn, think you just missed out. There was a crazy deal for new OEM parts from Toyota website during Black Friday sales. People were getting plates for as low as $280. Got mine for $300 total.

 

I think this is next on my list. I've seen a couple places make them. Where did you order yours?

 

Changed out my DD SS3s with a set of DD Elite fogs. I like the clean factory-like look and the cutoff is amazing. I'll take a picture of that when it gets dark. The backlight feature is useless, and I ended up disconnecting that wire. Overall, I'm very happy with these.

 

What level SS3s did you have before? How does the output compare to the SS3s?

 

I have the SS3 Sports, which these are comparable to as far as light output. The Elites have superior cutoff though, even better than the SS3 Max. That's something I was looking for because it seems like I always get flashed even though the SS3s were properly aligned. I honestly never cared for the look of the SS3s either.

 

I've got the sports right now, I like them, but they seem to sit a bit deep into the fog pockets. Not a big deal, but I am kind of like you, I think I prefer the more "OEM" look

 

definitely missed out. Didnt think twice about black friday shopping. Was having too much fun with family. Dont get to see my sister as often during the year. Going to keep my eye out on christmas sales.
