Looking to buy

Looking to buy a black 2012-2015 Tacoma DCSB. 50-70k miles. Rust free from southern California, New Mexico, Arizona, or Central Texas. Live in NH and my 2012 with 196k miles has minor rust having been in New England it's entire life. Looking to purchase a clean truck to have a solid base to mod that will last me minimum 10 years.

Welcome-ish to TW forums. I'm not a moderator, but I do appreciate the mods efforts & general structure of the forums to help separate out different topics & concerns.

My read of the forums-wide Buy/Sell/Trade rules is that BST posts are allowed only in BST forums:

Ah right, I did forget about that 50-posts mininum restriction. That certainly explains the reason for the cross-post here. I have no strong opinion on that restriction, I admit I found it annoying myself when I first showed up at TW forums, but no doubt the mods have thought that one through carefully.

Edit: on second thought, I support the restriction as it presents at least a minimal resistance / hurdle to discourage outright scammers and super-lazy lookie-loo types.

 

Florida would be a better option to look

 

Why Florida per se? No salt on the roads there but it is a pretty wet & humid state, plus a significant amt of potential coastline / brackish marsh zone exposure.

The southwestern states & southern half of Calif. have excellent climate -- hot and mostly bone dry long summers, moderate to very low rainfall in winter -- for low-to-zero rust even on 10-15 year old trucks.

The 50 count requirement is for selling only, not for buying. Good luck, I hope you find the truck that meets your needs.

 

Technically I think the 50-count requirement is for posting anything in the FS/WTB threads, no matter the content.

But you can still DM sellers directly without any post count, I believe.

 

The rules only have the 50 count under Sellers and not under Buyer

As much as I would love a supercharged Tacoma, unfortunately I do not think that will be in my price range lol.

 

If I find a truck without rust anywhere in the country I would get it. I just know that the South West region of the US tends to be much better for finding rust free vehicles.
