I have an hour commute, one way. Sometimes people call me and I'll talk to them that way, I don't mind. My cousin called me the other morning at 6:15 and ask what I was doing

There is a couple dead spots where we have no service though. A few weeks ago my inlaws called, they always call on speaker and get to arguing and forget the phone call is still on. My wife said we can't hear good and hung up on them :anonymous:

If I'm sitting around not doing much, texts are immediate.

If I'm busy or driving, it can wait but I'll still get to it ASAP.

I didn't know what kind of owl you meant until I clicked on it. If you take it into the bathroom with you at work I'm sure the shop crew will send you a nice prize. It won't be enough to cover your firing but it'll be a good memory :D

My wife cannot just drive. She only has a 15 minute at most commute and she talks on the phone pretty much the entire time. When she had a 45min-1 hour commute it was the same thing. If it takes you awhile to unwind then an hour commute can be a good thing. It depends on how you use it. Before cell phones how you used it was limited. Now you could keep up to date with all your family and friends....that are up at 6:15am....o_O

Back in my volunteer FD days I just happened to be near the station one day we got a call and got in the drivers seat of the engine. I had 2 captains riding with me and we had just recently gotten headsets installed where we could talk to each other and also to communications with the push of a button. The call was less than 1/2 a mile from the station and was a fire alarm at a recently built grocery store.

We are less than 500' from the station and I tell the guys I'm in no hurry cause I don't see any smoke.

The assistant chief calls my cell phone. I answer since he never called unless it was important, he said "Shane, check your headset you have an open mic".

I reached up and fixed it, all of what I had said.....all of Guilford County, NC heard :anonymous:

A few hours later a buddy of mine on the other side of the county called and said was that you on the radio

I think a lot of it is luck. My parents have a set of 16 year old LG front loaders that have all sorts of fancy options on the control panel. Still working fine. Meanwhile, out of my 4 year old basic Whirlpool set, the dryer makes all sorts of racket. The washer is fine, though.

My parents gave my wife and I a set of LG front loaders when we got married 13 years ago. The dryer tub quit spinning and my wife wanted a stacked unit for space. We sold the washer for $200 and as far as I know it's still running. Turns out the only thing wrong with the dryer was one of the rollers locked up the tub rotates on. I figured that out after our 11 year old son tore it apart :anonymous:

Won't answer group text's i think there rude, especially if people you don't know are involved. Like Merry Cristmas to every one on their contacts list. And they all start replying.

Guess I didn't plan that one out so well...

The 6" pipe is the one that goes through the pantry to the attic. It needs to go over the 10" pipe.

I got this little cutter years ago at a yard sale for a few dollars, it works well on this thin 30 gauge heating pipe.

    KIMG3641.jpg

It works just like the electric one except is people powered and the cut width is about 1/2 which makes it easier to make curved cuts.

I’m glad my prepping for a shut in lifestyle has absolved me of frequent in-coming texts. Typically just my wife and a handfull of other text adverse friends and family

I am tired of the wall hanging gadgets I have been using that are not working as expected yet will leave big imperfection when removed; I found this little thingy that I am going to try and hopefully it work.
