    I took a small trip from Salisbury NC to Clemmons NC, for a visit to the spine doctor's office. Some where around 40 miles one way. Now here's where it gets interesting. According to my scan gauge and the trucks computer talking to each other through the OBD port, my truck was getting 23.9 mpg at 70 mph. And for a very brief period of around 5 minutes it actually hit 24.0 mpg. I wonder how accurate these numbers really are. Either way, I'm happy with getting this kind of mpg on a 20 year old truck with a V6 engine and automatic transmission. I just hope it does this good when I take it on a real road trip to Texas next spring.
