Found the truck I was looking for at a dealership in Arizona, and luckily I only live one state away in New Mexico. Stoked for the longer truck bed, 4 x 4 capabilities, power driver seat (I’m 6’1” and this really helps me lower back portion of seat which isn’t possible w/ manual seats-now I’m not staring out at the headliner, yay!), smart key fob, and apple car play (simple mod to make wireless), and the adaptive cruise control/other new safety features.
Now to sell my 2016 V6 2WD SR5 Silver Sky Metallic w/ 118600 miles on it!

Beautiful truck. Was it at a dealership in Tucson? They emailed me about one of Lunar Rock AC coming in. :D Either way great looking truck and congrats.

It sure was! Every other one I’d found sold before I could make an offer on it- there was one similar in Albuquerque at Sandia Toyota that got away from me: an out of state buyer swooped in and nabbed it.
This one apparently had had a deposit on it but someone must’ve backed out- seems like that happens a lot because the same thing happened w/ the one mentioned at Sandia- it was only available because the deposit placer backed out. So glad I got it! It’s such a cool color and happy to have the last real version of a true access cab where you can actually/easily access the back storage space- I need to remove those crap jump seats!
*not to mention it has the tried & true V6! Seems better tuned than my 16’, it rides smoother, less annoying shift points, I’m happy with how it drives!

Thanks! It is badass, love the color/blackout pkg- just need to black out the wheels or eventually I’ll upgraded to the TRD bronze wheels that look sick w/ the lunar rock color. THANKS!

The real unicorn is that configuration with a manual... I looked for one for months from one end of the country to the other... no luck

Rally nice looking truck OP! Congrats!

Thanks, Gorgeous indeed! Happy I settled on that configuration- it fixes everything (nearly) I found wrong with my 16’ DC SB 2WD SR5.
I wasn’t a huge fan when I first saw Lunar Rock colored vehicles out on the streets either, but I’m a huge green guy and there weren’t any Army Green’s available. The color really grows on you and the uniqueness of it is cool- but then again now that I have one I notice other car manufacturers all seem to have their own new version of Lunar Rock out on their newer vehicles.

A little of this and a little of that.
Congrats on finding a great new truck!

I also own an AC Tacoma and the longer bed is a plus for me, along with power seat and the other features you mentioned.

I can’t imagine you having any trouble selling your 2016.

Thanks Hardscrabble! Feels good! I think the AC trucks look better! I had taken out the rear seats of my DC anyways so this way all i need to remove is the jump seats/headrests and build some shelves or just a platform back there for storage i need for work/tools! This post will help me reach the required 50 posts so I can actually post up my 16’ for sale here! It’s already on FB Marketplace and CL! Thanks for the replies: keep em coming lol!

Nice ride, love the color and the simplicity of the OR Access cab, very simple! Leave it like it is, maybe a 2/1 lift and some 285s would look great. Black is out and bronze is over played.

Nice truck! I really like my OR Access Cab with rear doors that open. Don't understand why this configuration isn't going to be available in the next generation.

Keep that one forever. You can show off the rear swingers to Gen4 extra cab owners.

I sometimes debate whether I prefer my old truck’s silver over lunar (metallic vs flat) but it shows better than Ford’s Cactus, and has cool changes with different light conditions

Exactly - I wouldn't lift it, mod it, better tires eventually/ toncover/ bed lights etc... but I'd leave it as stock as possible.

I'd sell my mother to the taliban for that ride.

Not sure if this will make you feel better or worse, but they only sold OR-AC-MT's in the Canadia market, which is why you were unsuccessful. I am not sure when that configuration became Canada only, but it would have been my preferred arrangement. Hell, I still think about trying to do a Canada swap or even switching to the automatic, which wouldn't be as big of a deal since the engine/transmission combination sucks for a stick in a bafflingly heavy, crossover-duty truck..
