Looking to sell brand new Daystar leaf spring shackles for a 1st gen tacoma. +1.5" lift i believe. With greaseable bolts. they were $150ish. Throw me an offer, or trade me something cool.

I also have a brand new "4x4" black overlay for a 3rd gen that's free to whoever can pick it up in south berwick, maine.

Ran out to measure:

Cover is about 7 5/8" x 5 1/8" give or take a little.

 

Front Diff from 2nd gen 4x4 V6 (3.73), 150K miles, cleaned and painted with POR 15

$300 local pickup in Westford

 

Anybody have a 3rd gen full plate bumper they're looking to sell? Got my passenger side front crunched in a parking lot, and thinking about using the insurance money to upgrade a bit. Hoping for something with full height bar and headlight hoops, or maybe an SSO full plate with the low bar

 

I don't but if you find something without hoops I can modify it for you. Not ready to build full bumpers yet though.

 

What burning up a Coastal kit?

 

Thats a possibility.

Side note, bumpers are stupid expensive. Coastal kit is just under 1k now. But then again a c4 bumper speccd the same is $1850.

 

I'd lean on the coastal, simply because I'd find a way to integrate a "rated" hitch, simply because I don't trust insurance companies, lawyers, etc.

 

Thats kind of like this first bumper I am building. It just replaces the bumper and bumper support but not the hitch. Bumper looks a little goofy from this angle and it was an in progress picture.



One issue with this approach is that your bumper no longer mounts directly to the frame. It mounts to the hitch and the hitch mounts to the frame. Red is hitch to frame blue is bumper to hitch. Youd have to make new mounting plates and weld them in a slightly different place. Shouldnt be too big of an issue for you though.
