Guessing the weight gain is from the boxed frame.

Where is the $65k for a Sport figure coming from?

    Thanks.

There's a TFL video with a 65k Sport, MSRP was 59 something, + market adjustment. I think there info came from the 4G site.

we have seen the MSRP and shipping costs, but don't have the add-ons that are gonna get slathered on yet.... if you drill into the stickers/info you'll see how heavy it gets:
    although 65 seems extreme:

SmartPath | Toyota TRD Sport $56k

    SmartPath | Toyota SR5 $51k

ah crap, you can't search by distance in Canada! you have to go to each individual dealer and search THEIR site. that sucks.

A video TFL made using the most expensive Tacoma they could possibly find.

I just found a Limited with zero markup for 54,630 after delivery, might be a 2wd but still...

There is minimal info on Toyotas inventory tool so I can't see the driveline. Could be 4x4 but IDK

A 30 second google search just came up with multiple dealers selling 23 limiteds for $48 and 49K. How can you possibly claim there isn’t a huge price increase with the 24?

I don’t blame Toyota for charging more, you can get more on the new truck for sure than the old one, but the idea they are just covering inflation is a joke. The 51k truck above is about 5k more than the previous year, even eliminating the paint protection stuff.

I thought the price was going to come down for the new models. Don't they have smaller cheaper engines and thinner sheet metal?

And a new shared platform for all their trucks. The price is going down for toyota and the profits are going up. :D

Because the Limited 3rd gen is so much less than the Limited 4th gen feature-wise. Yes it costs more but you are also paying for WAY more stuff.

Things you get standard that the 3rd gen didn't have: Power running boards, digital rearview mirror, heated steering wheel, cooled seats, multi-link rear suspension, a heads up display, full digital instrument cluster, a 14 inch head unit, adaptive variable dampers, selectable drive modes, and the list just keeps going... Then you have improved items like a drivetrain that actually has torque, and TSS 3.0

It’s not just inflation. It’s that and the fact that they’re giving far more truck at each level
