I have a 2012. I had the frame inspected in 2020. They said no problem at that time. I just brought it back in after I saw serious rust. I am still under warranty until Feb. 2024. Dealer says corporate says I missed something so they won’t help. I received a notice in 2020 but nothing since then. Am I out of options?

Rust or rot? Has to be at least one hole rotted out

Rust isn't rot. That's the big thing. We need more.

    Something like this

Did you ever take it in for the CRC inspection/application?

If you had the frame inspected before the drop-dead date and it was declared good, and you have the service invoice for the inspection: they missed something. You didn't miss anything. Toyota inspected it and declared it good. I have a service receipt that says I had the inspection done before the deadline to do it and I'm good until 2026. I take my truck to a dealer at least once per year for an oil change and ask them to do a frame inspection. If it has been 12 months, they do it and confirm as appropriate. They do not clean or re-apply the CRC compound or clean the frame during the inspection, which I don't understand considering all they have been through to this point all the way to the Gen 1 buybacks.

It depends on the state for the CRC coating so it will depend on where the OP lives. But if they inspected once before and failed to apply the CRC coating after then it should still be a toyota issue. And the documentation should be all the proof the OP needs.

This earned my 2010 a new frame back in September 2021, with the job actually being done right before Thanksgiving that year (NOTE; 2 pics of the same spot)...

    probably lying.

If it's perforated then it's perforated.

They come like that. It only gets exposed when driven in the majority of the country (non CA, AZ)
