Yes...you can run a 32" tire without rubbing with no lift. I'm running 265/75R16 Cooper STT's (equal t a 32" tire) and I have no problem. Just make sure you have the right amount of back spacing on your wheels.

I doubt it...but it is probable with the right wheel....I have a 98 taco 4x4 3.4L and had to get a 2.5'' lift to fit 285/65-17 which = 31.6x11.2/17 in metric. It STILL is a tight fit so your going to prol need a lift for 32''

Again, backspacing matters, so the right wheel might work....in my case with 17'' dick cepek dc-2's I had to get a lift

So how wide a rim and how much back spacing? Do you have a bigger side profile pic of your truck?

I have a 16x8" rim with 4.5" of backspacing. Coopers website shows the overall diameter of my tires are at 32" exactly.

He would rub. your running a 16 inch rim. so if he were to run a 265/75/17 itd be a 33. You can run a 265/70/17 without a lift

Yeah, if he were to run a 265/75/17...but hes going to run a 32" w/ a 17" wheels not 33's. Overall diameter is what matters as well as back spacing on the wheels. TRD sports come with a 17 and they run 32's all the time with no problem. I didnt anything about 33's...but your right, he would be perfect with 265/70R17

Yeah...a generic calculator. To get exact specs visit the manufacturers site and it will give you the exact specs. A 265/75R16 tire that BFG makes will be different than one Cooper makes. Cooper shows the STT in that size to be a complete 32. All tires are going to be different because of tread pattern and depth.

Your right...but it's apples to apples...a 32 is a 32 even if the wheel size is different.
BTW...I don't want anyone to think I'm being a dick in this thread...I really am not...it's easy to come across like one on the internet so forgive me if anyone thinks I am.

Your right...but Im just saying that a 32" tire will fit. The overall diameter of the tire is 32...obviously he would need a 32 to fit a 17" wheel. Im not telling him to calculate anything....just saying that he will be fine with a 32" tire and a 17" wheel. The metrics will obviously be different with a larger wheel...but overall he will be fine running a 32" tire with a 17" wheel. Were on the same page, just misunderstanding each other. lol
