New shoes put on today! Went with Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws this time. Stuck with 265/75R16 E rated cuz I hate saving gas money here in WA for some reason. 103.8K miles on the clock for reference.

Nice! I’m rocking E rated 265/75/16 Grabbers right now. I’m considering the Wildpeaks for my next set.

I've been on Cooper ST MAxx for a few sets now, but they really shot up in price since last time so decided to give the wildpeaks a go. I also considerd the Open Country AT3 from Toyo but these came in a black sidewall so it was an easy choice.

I feel that. I would love to get the St Maxx’s in 255/85/16 but no way I’m paying that much per tire. They actually cost more per tire than my monthly truck payment.

I guess everything is just going up and up these days. It’s been a while since I bought new tires. I have just over 40K miles on my Grabbers now.

I like the Wildpeak AT3W’s but the AT4W’s are supposed to be released in the spring so I’m probably going to wait to see what those are like.

I’m almost due for new tires. I’m only getting around 35k out of each set. Toyo M/T’s.

How many miles everyone else averaging?

IDK, I lost track. I also didn't rotate them regularly so I def got less life than I should have, esp with a slightly bent front spindle so I'm always a little out of alignment. 40ish?

I’m not even aware of or if I have a warranty. I assume that doesn’t cover offroad miles?

WTF! I rotate my tires every 5, and pretty sure I don’t have a bent spindle.

I run General Grabber ATXs and I have a little over 40K miles on them. According to my tread depth gauge they’re at about half tread life now.

They’re E rated and my truck is really light plus I rotate them every oil change. I ride alot of gravel and a good amount of dirt and a ton of highway. I’m pretty sure I could get 70-80K miles out of this set if I stretch it.

haha. technically, no. i don't think. but there's no way for them to check. unless it's pretty obvious it tore on an offroad ride. i take plenty of gravel roads and stuff so...

Had another occurence of my no-start gremlin. Pulled the terminal and swapped in a new one and found this where it met the extension. Looks like the small amount of arc caused the eventual erosion of the terminal causing more resistance and a poorer connection.

I'll check it when I go to work in the AM but just at idle, scanguage already showed a 0.4v drop (13.6 vs 14.0)

I had 40k on my 35" ST Maxx. They still looked new, but they were loud. But when you get new tires they're always quiet
