Hello. I’m new on all this stuff about lift trucks, etc… I just get a rough and country 3” lifted shocks, and I already install it. But I don’t like at all … and my tires still rubbing when I make a turn. Tire size 285/70/17. I want to know if I can add something like spacer lift to get more lift on front, because I read that supposedly I can’t on this kind of shocks.

Welcome to the forums. Not advised to stack lifts like that. Where are you currently rubbing? Wheel specs?

Getting a shop to give you as much caster as possible could help. End all solution is to chop the cab mount

No go on stacking lifts. Are you 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive? As others mentioned what are you wheel specs? Likely will need cmc done.

Welcome to Tacoma World. Others have already mentioned some good info, I'll expand on it:
    • Adding a lift to IFS does not equal tire clearance. It will still rub when compressed, that is a fact regardless of what some chuckleheads on here will say.
    • Adding top spacers to your existing spring lift is not a good idea. In addition, lifting 3" also isn't smart for longevity of things like CV axles. General rule is keeing under 2.5" on the front, better still at 2".
    • 285/70/17 absolutely will not fit a 2nd gen without clearancing the area you circled. You may need to beat the pinch weld flat or do what is commonly called a cab mount chop (CMC).
    • Don't want to smash the pinch weld or CMC? JD Fabrication makes a lower pivot kit but it takes some fab skills.
    • If you don't want to make those modifications, reduce lift and get smaller tires.

    Rough country = no

many say 2-3” of lift is max for a Tacoma

tire clearance has numerous factors that can influence it

    -alignment settings

-offset of the wheel. If it sticks further out, it gets closer to the cab mount when turning

-LCA’s and LCA pivots, both can be changed

    -UCA’s, some change suspension geometry

-from what I’ve heard, 33’s usually require a CMC, and 35’s CMR

riding high maxed out probably reduces downtravel and worsens performance

I don’t know if there’s any good sides to a spindle lift. They make those.
What seems more common is spindle gusset; stock spindle dimensions but strengthened

the quickest way to get some lift for cheap is probably Bilstein 5100 (adjustable) and starting with AAL 1.5-2” in the back if you don’t want a costlier whole leafpack.
It won’t ride as well as 6112 / 5160 that has similar adjustability but more fluid and size.

that’s before getting into improving rear travel (relocate etc)
