Don't worry. I've spent nearly 400K miles behind the wheel of 4Runners. If it was going to turn me into a soccer mom, it would have happened years ago.

So in the spirit of the group and general holiday spending I’ve just made what I hope to be a sound financial decision in the long term.

Ida has joined the Tacoma family.

    So, a fresh Tacoma.
Let's help her out with ideas.
    RCI skids and sliders.
    Dobinsons suspension.
    Ray10s.
    Lights,lights and more lights.
Flat bed. (I know a guy that can help with this)

hmmm if only skids and sliders were on sale somewhere…..

Edit: pretty sure the first thing will be a coat of fluid film. After I take lots of photos of the clean underside.

Congrats on the new Taco!! That one is for your wife then? Is she going to join TacomaWorld, make a build thread, and join into the terminal spiral of constant modding?

What's the significance of the name Ida?

Thankfully for the pocket book she isn't a forum person although I'm sure I will be adding a few things to it over time. Especially as its a stock SR5 and could uses some accessories like a bed mat and mud guard (see it's already starting)

As for Ida it's a family name. Her grandmother was also an Ida. I believe it is Hungarian.

Next thing you know she has a bed rack bedroom on her truck and then you're saying "hey baby, why don't we park the trucks together tonight."

5000$ markup on a 24 Sport that isn’t on the lot yet.

Thousand Oaks Toyota, a dealer in Southern California has a 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport listed for sale. Including a $5,000 “dealer adjustment” and its MSRP of $54,437, Thousand Oaks Toyota wants $59,437 for a TRD Sport. That’s a well equipped Tundra money (you can get a lightly optioned Tundra Limited or for a couple grand more you can have a Tundra Platinum.)

I have a rubber bed mat that I got from a friend up here that had a 2020. It is yours if you want it. Once I put the bed box in I no longer used it.

No one here is wasting any time. Heck I don’t even have a tune yet on mine.
Truck had 7 miles on the clock when we picked it up. I told her to take it easy for the first 1K miles or so.

Sounds like you have been watching Last Line of Defense on YouTube. That’s like 1 step shy of saying I’ll be your big spoon tonight
She isn’t a RTT person and actually hasn’t even been in mine yet. Something about not wanting to sleep up high after drinking.
I’ll take you up on that offer! Sure you don’t need it on the new flat tray?
