Have an almost new set of all weather floor mats for an AC if you need them.

While I can understand the benefit of a nice roomy tent I’m left wondering what the advantage is vs a similar Gazelle tent except that it is up high.
Interesting that it requires significant customer assembly.

It did come with the good all weather mats so I am good there. Thanks though

I have a Gazelle tent, looking at this RTT I’m wondering how they keep the sides from popping in when a gust of wind hits it.

Ran ALF across a scale yesterday. He weighed in at 5520 lbs. Full tank of gas and all of the stuff I carry everyday was included. (Recovery gear, sub woofer, etc.) I stumbled onto a video about the weight of a 4Runner. The stock 4R's (he owns 2 of 'em, a Limited and a Pro) came in at 5,000 and 5,020.

Had the same thought. No experience with a RTT but stability sure seems like it would be an issue.

While waiting to get into a dock yesterday, I came up with my New Year's resolution. In '24, I think I'll stop working. May take several weeks, but I think I'll succeed.

    76 working days.

That's not even that bad for a 4Runner. Heck, my Taco is now over 5600 lbs and that is before adding upcoming bumper and winch upgrades. My ol' girl is getting chonky.

On Monday, I got the code for the Medicare secret handshake...it only took 5 1/2 weeks! It sat in the ignore file in Chicago for about 4 of those weeks. There is nothing in that application that should take more than 2 hours to verify.

I know on the Gazelle tent you can stake out the corners and sides but didn’t think that was all that necessary. I figured it took a decent amount of force to collapse the sides.
Good question on using that design for a RTT.

While the delay always sucks. That’s a nice step forward. How many days left?

I believe that @McSpazatron has a hub style tent.

I have hub style hunting blinds and I never had a side collapse in.

I was north of 6000. Now I might have you beat! Need to go weigh it on the way home.

You'll definitely take that crown with the new flatbed, especially after adding the wood and whatever else gets loaded on top of it.

IMG_0848.jpg Whole bunch of progress in one picture:
Headache rack going together. Jack mounted. Winch didn’t fit where I wanted it too so it now has a home in the back bin. Still lots of room left in there

I've been meaning to ask if you notice any difference in driving and handling, on or off road.

I have 0 experience with RTT's either. I use a rightline bed tent.
It's an easy 1 person setup. Takes down even quicker. Drop the poles roll the tonneau out and go.
RTT's seem like too much work for a short stay?
Assuming they're using the vehicle to recreate.
