Just received the 700 plus.
2 things that I noticed first.

>Higher charging rate, at least the AC input. More on that when I use 100w solar.

>There are 2 DC inputs. I thought that was limited to the 1000 or higher.

 

Is that model using the lifepo4 batteries?

700 plus is out of stock on Jackery site too.

 

I set up solar charging on the 700 plus this morning. Great news, to me at least.
The manual says that I can put up to 4 100w solar panels set to charge. (An additional adapter is purchased to connect 2 panels to 1 input)

I have the Jackery 100w panel and a Rockpals 100w panel. It has varied due to early sun, clouds, and setting of panels, but THEY BOTH WORK.
The 'included' adapter is required for them to charge.
I got as much as 65w input with low sun.

I like this 700 plus. Bluetooth works well also.

 

I got a second solar panel 100w.

 

I like the 100W WAY more than the 200W. Sure, the 200 is faster charging, but significantly heavier and more likely to break. Plus, it doesn't give the option to charge other electronics directly.

I have read that it is best to solar charge a battery, and use the battery separately to charge a device. The fluctuations of solar are said to possibly damage devices.

 

That makes sense. I generally only do it on cloudless days, so the input should be pretty consistent.
