Kinda....Your hunting license is a contract with the state that says if you abide by the rules as stated in whatever wildlife code, then ownership is transferred upon..................killing it.

In Va. we're license exempt as long as we hunt on our own land :D

PA is similar in the fact it needs farmed, as in source of main income. No buying a hundred acres, dropping a plot or two and hunting without a license.

We have to be a resident. No restrictions on farmed or not. We moved here in August, bought a house, shop, and 10 acres. Neighbor has 103 acres beside us and doesn't hunt :D

Perhaps I shoulda added some other quotes. I think there was a pic of a timed feeder.... Hence my comment about a naturally occuring food (white oaks, red oaks) source vs an artificial one.

And my joking comment to the question "is hunting under an oak hunting over bait technically" was: if the red oak you're sitting in has a pile of white oak acorns under it (implying you brought in a more appetizing type of acorn), that probably constitutes baiting. We're saying the same thing, thats I why I thought the joke might've gone over a few heads.

Kinda nothing. That’s exactly when ownership transfers.

Since we moved I was able to put most of the deer heads in one place in the shop. 6 were taken with bow or crossbow by my wife or I, 2 were rifle by me, 2 were muzzle loader, one by my wife and the other by me.

The top left shoulder mount, I shot him with a rifle during the rut one year on a Saturday about 1:00. We were at my parents and my dad went to put a bale of hay out with his tractor. He called me and said come shoot this deer, it's the biggest one I've ever seen. It stood and watched him sitting on the tractor 30 yards away, until I got there with the rifle. He ran to about 100 yards and stopped.
