I just had these leather seat covers installed. I did a lot of research and was considering getting wet okoles. However, I just couldnt bring myself to cough up the $500+ for the okoles. The material they are made of just doesnt justify the price tag. I had these custom made took about 4 weeks to get. It cost $390 for the whole kit, which includes a center console door cover. Mine was missing from the kit and the installer said he would have one made and install it next week. Anyway enjoy the pics! :)

They look like the Clazzio seat covers that I have been looking at. The ones I want are pictured below.

Thank you all. In response to trdracing5, yes they are the clazzio covers. Local dealer sells em for $600! I got a wholesale discount through my friends body shop. Their website is www.11i-usa.com

The perforation in the leather doesnt allow it to be waterproof, but all other areas are.:D

Nice covers, I too am thinking about getting some covers and agree about the wet okoles being overpriced. How much did the installed want to put them in??

Do the covers interfere with the side airbags?

There are two options, one is made for vehicles with side airbags, and one is not. The one that is made for side air bags is sewn in such a way where it can rip off during air bag deployment.

Wow, those look pretty doggon nice - almost like leather seats. Is there a reason you went with the solid black as opposed to the gray/black combo ?

Also, did you install these yourself (and if so what were the instructions like) ?

Finally, did you notice better comfort from the seat(s) after installing. I have gotten used to the feel of leather seats, and I am having problems adjusting the the cloth feel on the Tacoma drivers seat.

    Thanks !!

To tell you the truth, I hate gray leather or the light gray interior of my 2009 TRD sport for that matter. The reason for this is, I had a Mercedes with gray leather interior. It would get dirty really fast and after a while it just wasnt appealing. I have owned many cars with factory leather interiors, and they have all been black with the exception of the Mercedes. I promised myself I would never buy another car with gray interior. Unfortunately Toyota feels that only 2 color choices are appropriate for our Tacos, neither of which are that appealing. The only exception is my 07 S2000 which has black and red leather seats. I feel that the black color looks nicer and it matches the dash and upper door panel areas. The gray color seat covers are actualy a perfect match to the gray plastic door panels and lower dash area. If you like that color it would match perfectly.

I was going to install them myself, however the weather in Los Angeles has been pretty cold for the past couple weeks. With high's reaching 56 degrees, I just didnt want to risk catching a cold. I had the installer come out and install all of the pieces. It took him about an hour and half and it was worth the $85 installation charge. The instructions are pretty straight forward with pictures depicting what should be done step by step but it could take an amature 3 hours to do the whole thing.

I know that the SR5 seats are not as comfortable as the TRD sport seats. With that in mind, comfort hasnt been dramatically improved from the original cloth. The only difference I noticed was just a bit more feel of padding due to the thickness of the covers.

Why would you "subscribe" to a 2.5+ year old thread?

Did anyone else catch that the OP had someone else install his seat covers because he didn't want to catch a cold in 50 degree F weather? :D

    Dan
