Ah. Gotcha. Some kind of Molle it looks like. The extinguisher is on a Savage UTV mount FWIW. I'll just shut up now and let the OP reply.:rolleyes:

I have serious OCD and ADHD issues. The first scratch will give me seizures.

No it does not. The original steel skid plates are mounted into tabs with M8 threads. (4) in each plate. The TRD and Chinesium skid plates are mounted into larger bolt holes in some of the frame pieces. M12 threads (4) along with (2) M8 threads at the very rear.
I actually might grind my tabs off to save weight. (Those ounces count when your racing. lol)

Thank you. The fog lights were easy. They are factory TRD. The SR5 has all of the factory prewiring for fogs as well. It was all plug and play. There is a write up for models without prewiring. Some dude that goes by Natori I believe? He did a fantastic write up and How To.

    EDIT: found it. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nitoris-oem-sr-foglight-mod.451495/

I hear ya. I was initially anxious just parking at the store.

That all went away once I rolled back into a tree. I barely touched it and it left a very small dime-sized ding at the top of the tailgate. After that I was cured….:D

This all comes out with scratch remover by hand and then some wax (except for the plastic fender flares).

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
You need to get to the point where the scratches make no difference…

I do like seeing pictures of clean pickup beds and imagining how mine would look. In 5 years I have yet to run a hose in the back of mine. It will just get dirty next week so why bother.

I’ve grown fond of my collection of mud, branches and bugs. A complete biosphere back there.

No. I don’t spend much any money on my trucks, only bare essentials. A wee bit better shocks, tires, roof rack for boat and a toolbox for recovery gear. Then just drive em.

Hey, 40 years at this. As long as they get me in and back out, all good.

Some rubbing compound to get the big scratches less evident.

I had an 86 F150 I bought brand new. Basic 4x4, 4spd 300ci straight 6. Steel interior floors, steel interior ceiling, no power anything, bench seat, no AC, beast of a truck and ultra reliable.

First year, based on some topo maps I head up a really steep mountainside to try and reach a hike in only lake. So 3 miles of less than truck width trail, no turnaround.

I reverse the 3 miles back down. No backup camera of course. Drive reverse 5 feet. Stop, correct forward and then again another 5 feet reverse. Repeat.

About 100 brutal truck length deep scratches, both sides.

After 2 days of rubbing compound, got them down to about 50% of what they started at.

Just kept driving it, about 40 trips per year off road with that truck, all over BC hunting for small remote lakes.

Can’t beat it, still live for it.

Back out again tomorrow to see how deep the snow has gotten since last week.
