As the title says, do not buy over MSRP prices. There are still dealers out there selling at MSRP even on the top tiers. Those are the ones that deserve your hard earned money. Value yourselves as customers.

Agree 100%. Stand firm if you’re in the market. Once us (the customers) start to open our wallets and pay over sticker, the gouging will commence.

TRD Jon just put a video out a few moments ago. They’re already gouging in California. Adding 5k dealer markup already.

Markups.org Everyone should see if their dealer of choice is on it and if they have a history of marking things up. If so then there is probably a good chance they will again or you can take your business else since they did it last time.

Truthfully, even MSRP is too much.

It's there as a bit of slop to overcompensate you (on paper) for your trade in. Make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Absolutely!!!! And they are already making money at MSRP. It’s just greed and taking advantage of the influenced by social meadia platforms.

Market adjustments make me want to hurl. They totally turned me off to the C8 Corvette. And now the Tacoma… greedy bastards.

I think this is the worst I have seen. And this is in an area with a dozen dealers within 45 min. I just don't get why anyone would pay this.

Should I reward the dealer doing 10% off MSRP on a Colorado ZR2?

I would, double locked from factory is a huge win in my book. Specially at a discounted price.

If people stopped buying vehicles with markups then the markups would quickly go away. But nope, people need to have the latest and greatest no matter what it costs and how much they’re getting ripped off. I think some even like to brag about how much overage they paid.

Never have paid MSRP. Never will. And I'm in my 60's now. When I see a dealership with "market adjustment" on vehicles, I don't even walk on their sales floor. It's that simple. Not going to fight just to lower the "market adjustment" and have them tell me "this is the best we can do."

I actually like to call or stop in just to laugh at the adjustment.

While that is nice, I think the 24 Colorado's have updated standard features that were options for the 23's. That could be the reason for the discount.

You got it all wrong...these are the dealers you do test drives at and waste their time. Then you go to a dealer not charging an ADM and work with them.
