Those two owls that I just set up in the conference room? Both of them are on my account for their wireless connection. So when I'm gone, assuming they're still there, they'll cease to work (completely) correctly.

The cameras are a whole different ball of crazy that the next guy will have fun figuring out.

And that's before we get to some of my sketchier Excel files.

No, but should the worst happen, there would definitely be some growing pains for them.

There was an accelerating culture shift that advanced my retirement plans from 6 months to 3 months to my walking in and giving 2 weeks notice.

You might say things kind of went after I left.

I'm thinking option B, drenched in sarcasm. "I really hate to leave for a better environment and more money but it's been great learning, growing here." Best of luck.

 

When my wife left her last job, she let them have it. She had some huge grievances to get off of her chest and she wasn't leaving until they'd been aired.

 

RustyGreen- - appreciate your post! The culture shift for me accelerated my plan from 15 months to 4 weeks. Layoff package made the decision even easier, and my departure gave a younger worker (RE: lower paid) some job security.

Thanks again @RustyGreen . I’ve been trying to conceptualize my current situation and ‘accelerated culture shift’ fits the bill perfectly.

I’ve been running the numbers and the penalty to the pension in leaving early is just too big to take at this time. It’s not a good feeling…to feel stuck in a crappy situation.

Today is 12 years sober for me

 

Saw this for sale yesterday, stopped on the way in this morning to see how much. The inside is as clean as the outside. 201k miles.

 

Attaboy Creed, proud of you interweb friend. That is a fantastic accomplishment that should be celebrated.

On the jobs subject, friend of mine works for Boeing on the x-37 program, it's top secret +/sci, DOD money, lots of prestige yada yada yada and he's like Hunter if there was somewhere else better to go I would've already been there but its amazing that we manage to send spacecraft to orbit with all the mismanagement. The disfunction is everywhere. I keep telling myself that.

 

The last job I left I remember them asking me to do an exit interview. They probably regretted that, I can remember the hr lady scooting her chair back and looking quite uncomfortable while I aired out my reasons.
