If a dealer provides you with a piece of paper showing you what he paid for the car, that is not what he paid for the car. No dealership will ever tell you honestly what he paid for the car.

 

Not true at all. You're going to the wrong dealers or going off of 20 years ago. I was more than happy to show an invoice, explain all the numbers at the bottom, and explain how much I'm making. You as a customer are happy to believe it or not, I never lost sleep over a customer believing or not.

This video is nice and all, but now that Toyota has a new CEO, and people continue to insane out the ass prices, they’ll continue to start their msrp’s on vehicles even higher and higher. And stealerships will continue to charge an even higher markup. I wish we could abolish dealerships altogether.

 

Bro even MSRP is an absolute joke, they are showing up in the Toyota search now, all around ~$50k, for a TACOMA!

I would NEVER pay over sticker but everyone has a different opinion, just doesn't't work for me.

 

I just noticed that the dealership I started talking to inside the 50 mile mark that told me they would be marking things up about 2 or 3k.... have taken down their markups. I will definitely be watching that play out. lol

 

Probably go back up after Christmas, monthend, quarterend and yearend.

I think it was another thread that I mentioned this on but I am contacting a lot of dealers in my area and there is a lot of unspoken for allocations at MSRP. Maybe it is the high prices, interest, or economy, but the demand may not just be there.

 

The prices are ridiculous. If you have a good truck today, you’d be crazy to buy these right now.

 

But I got to have the latest and greatest now!!!!!

 

I saw an EV Hummer SUV today it was this flat dark green color. It was also on a rollback a few blocks from the GMC dealer, somebody must be buying it.

 

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how this evolves. I still have my deposit at an MSRP dealer, no rush to get it back until I actually buy a new truck. That dealer is hard core MSRP, even their Tundra are at MSRP.
