Lol depends on your son. When I was 18, I was off roading maximas and Camry’s lol. Young people don’t treat their cars the best.

depends on your needs and what you are doing. I personally don’t understand spending $40+k on a truck and putting a leveling kit, spacer, block whatever on the vehicle. For just a bit more you can get a nice suspension upgrade (Eibach 1.0 or 2.0 kit, Bilstein 5100, etc) and it won’t f**k up your components over time like spacers and blocks do (as long as you are realistic up to 2-2.5” max of lift height).

Leaf packs are more expensive due to production and supply issues, but I’ve had Dakar (medium and heavy) and Icon RXT packs and I really like the Icon RXT. I’m not even a fan of Icon shocks (more reasons than one…), but the leaf pack is nice at slow or high speed and rides cushy.

honestly it’s more about the look and appearance, I don’t do any off roading really so it all has to do with the look and wider stance. Little bit bigger tire but with that need a little more height

5100s on the 4th setting and a one inch rear block and call it the day. It will yield you about 1 3/4 lift in the front and a 1 inch rear with a slight rake. I did this but added a 1/4 shim/spacer on the driver's side for the taco lean, a ecgs clamshell bushing, front diff and rear carrier drop, Sumo bump stops. Nice budget friendly lift, great ride and priced right.

Just ordered the lift kit and it should arrive in a few days. I will keep y’all posted. Since I haven’t found a single person with a good straight answer, I’m going to do Tacomadom a favor and get it and give y’all every piece of info I can. My tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler 305/60r18 (so 12” wide and about 32.4” tall) I currently have a 3 - 2 spacer lift on the truck and my uca hits my coil spring and my upper ball joints are strained so I decided to bite the bullet and get this kit. I’ll keep y’all posted!!

Edit 1 (8/23/22): I’m just going to put all the info here on the same post so y’all don’t have to scroll to see my posts. I ordered the kit on Saturday at around 11:40pm. The kit shipped the next day and it arrived today, which is Tuesday. Very fast shipping and am very impressed with that! I opened everything and everything looks good; nothing broken or damaged. I plan to install it in about a week or so so I’ll let y’all know when I do that. My only complaint this far is that the rear leaf spring spacers are made of plastic, however they seem plenty beefy enough to do their job properly. If y’all have any questions please let me know!

Edit 2 (9/1/22): Just installed the lift kit today! I highly recommend using the install video on extremeterrain.com as it is very easy to follow. Install was not as bad as I was expecting. Hardest part is getting the UCA bolts out but even that wasn’t that bad; just bend the pinch weld some. Just make sure you have a buddy to help with the install! ALSO: The alemites in the RC upper control arms were loose! Be sure to check them when you install! I’ve heard some people complain about the RC UCA ball joints failing prematurely but I feel like as long as you keep them greased and don’t over pressurize the boot with grease you should be good. I’ll let y’all know on the condition of the ball joint as time goes by. This lift kit solved my rubbing issue and the ride is better in my opinion than the spacer I had on previously. That’s all for now!

Edit 3 (2/14/23): Well, bad news guys. After only about 5 1/2 months of having the lift kit on, the upper ball joint boots are starting to dry rot and crack and the left rear N3 shock has already blown and is leaking oil. Rough Country is sending me a new shock out of warranty, but do you really want to replace shocks every few months? I haven't even taken the truck off road! All on-road driving since installation. Truck is parked most of the time yet the kit is still crapping out on me. Don't have the money right now for another lift so I'll limp along with the junk country lift kit until I can afford a 2.5-3" Bilstein 6112 lift kit with 5100s in the rear. Take this as your warning. DO NOT BUY ANY LIFTS OR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS FROM ROUGH COUNTRY. I really wanted to like this lift, but they use the cheapest, worst quality materials they can scavenge. STAY AWAY!

    That's all for now!

If you do the RC lift you have to drop the diff. they move the front diff down because your coilover is moved down. Do not listen to people here saying not to use diff drop with this lift.

Looks like a decently designed kit with the way they have the UCA. You gotta make sure the up travel doesn't bump the shocks before the bump stop in the front. I am not sure about the quality of the materials.

I was looking into emulating something like this

    Aloha bro,
How is your lift doing. Looking to do the same lift but so many haters and bad comments towards it. I'm not looking to do serious off roading. More for fun and looks. Any issues with needle bearing or cv's?

I've had mine well over a year with no complaints. I did go ahead and replace the needle-bearing when I had them put on, though. From everything I have heard, you have a 50/50 chance of needing it done with any lift.

Did you not read the whole thread? In his update his shit fell apart and he now rightfully refers to the company as ‘junk country’

Just ordered the RC 3.5 lift with v2 rears. Imma do the ecgs needle bearing since I'm tearing into it. I also wanted to fit 33's possibly on either a 20x10 or 22x10. I like the big rim and smaller sidewall look. I wanted the m1 setup. We'll see how it rides. It'll be here in the next 2 weeks.

If you read the whole thread, you'd see who I was trying to respond to. His whole kit didn't fall apart. He had a blown shock and a ripped ball joint Bushing. Big deal.

20,000 miles on my RC 3.5 Lift and no problems so far. My 2012 had Fox's and I put 220,000 miles
on those Fox's. I think the RC 3.5 Lift looks great and rides just as good if not better than my Fox's.

Hey, I'm seriously considering this same lift with the rear leaf springs and UCA for 999$. My 2008 Tacoma has 220k on it and it needs all new suspension parts so i figured i would do a lift and get some bigger tires while I'm at it. What are your thoughts on this lift?

Also, have you had any squeaking coming from your springs? Did you do a "differential drop to make the CV axles happier" as someone ranted about? I was planning on just doing the clamshell bearing right of the bat and a 2.5 degree shim in the back.
