Oh! Because we moved here from OK and ~$2000/month rent and no utility bill made more sense than paying $435k for a house worth about $250k where we came from. Or paying $3000+/month rent for an average type home. Seeing $450k as the minimum price, generally, to get into anything remotely better than a starter home broke my spirits. I was unwilling to participate. I'm paying a lot more than that, though, for what I'm buying now, but it's not a starter-home. It's a place befitting a couple of folks about 50yrs old trying to establish a place grandkids will love to visit.

 

Half jealous - Utah is GORGEOUS. All the best to you in the next phase!

 

I live at work and it's gotten old. It was free so can't complain too much. New job offers housing at a reduced rate but I'm not sure I'd want to live on property again. The good thing is it is not too close to the course.

I was checking out the Lexus TX 350 after seeing its “within reason” price of a platinum grand Highlander will I watch a video saying that even with the same ICE gas only engine, the TX requires premium gas. No thanks on that one.

I’ve said this a bunch, but one of my deciding factors in Taco > GX460 was the fuel type. Premium adds up

 

I was thinking the same thing.

I had Subaru forester at one point and ended up with a non turbo for the same reason. No thanks to premium gas.

 

No way I’d put premium into a Subaru.

At least the Lexus is giving you luxury for the money.

 

Question for you all:

If you have a tonneau cover, how do you clean it? My lomax could use a nice clean/shine up.

 

Yep same here. My wife really wanted a GX460 until we learned about the premium gas thing. Real bummer.
