The last heat run is complete & sealed.
    :woot:
I still need to get back in the mud to insulate it, finish that yellow wire and run the gas.

The hillside has been an inconvenience to say the least, tough to work and not go for a slide - and break you neck...

    KIMG3671.jpg

Seeing as much of a mess this is down here I guess I should do something to address the water :( -- next year. :D

You should have seen it before I added the five 150 watt equivalent LED bulbs.

I have repaired the door but still kept feeling a draft.

This might be it, that is light from inside over the door frame.

    KIMG3673.jpg

Inside view, the gap was over 1" on the right. I stuffed some R-board over it for now, some wood and spray foam should fix it up for good.

    KIMG3674.jpg

The bedroom is right above, perhaps this is part of why the floor is always cold.

    Surprise plumbing repair yesterday.
Been leaking for a long (years maybe) time but behind cabinet.
    Joint popped.
Was lucky to be able to separate it. Cleaned the pipe out cause it was, you know, disposal…
    *yeckkkk*
Sanded pipe and connection. Sprayed it clean.
PVC prep and glue and it’s holding.

    Wow.
My cellar door (wood, home made original to the house) has a bow in it at the center of door opening.
About a foot of it you can feel air coming in. Will get a roll of strip door seal and run another length over the original. Little things you don’t notice, Or will put a reinforcement strip to straighten the door.

This is a very old and not particularly well built country place.

Since late October I have spent 100x more time down here than in the last 30 years I have been here.

I'm much more familiar with the house than I was a few months ago -- not really sure if that is good or bad... ;)

    Friggin awesome.
My family was (and still is I think)a bunch of alcoholics when I was growing up.
    Ruined my adolescent years.
    It stopped with me.

    Congrats to you. Much Respect….
