Imagine using three 4' x 10' sheets of steel, 1/2" thick



10' tall and 17' long

 

Guy wanted to put it in a 2005 VVTI truck. My brief forum searching was inconclusive and I told him it would likely require a lot of work. He still wanted it.

 

Puttin a lot of faith in this janky rental ladder, almost done

 

Today I learned there's such thing as a rental ladder

 

Yeah Home Depot.... Definitely don't need a 24ft extension ladder around the house year round lol

 

I'd never even considered renting a ladder, just seems like something you should have haha. But if I was gonna put up Xmas lights (not happening cause my house is tall) I'd rent a bucket truck. I don't even have gutters to hold onto for dear life.

 

Yeah that's about as high up as I'm comfortable going on a ladder, felt pretty sketchy braced against the roof tiling. We have a 12ft but not high enough to get way up there

 

I didn't avoid injury....went to move the smaller 12 ft ladder after doing the lower portion on the side of the house, forgot I left my hammer up top. Dropped about 5ft right on top of my head, thought for sure I was going to be bleeding like crazy. Just a big sore knot and dented pride

 

Now the dude wants to bring it back lol. What would you guys do? I really don’t want it back and I warned him it wouldn’t work…
