    Grosjean Park in Wooster, OH.

Although, I got skunked, my buddy hooked on this rainbow with a griffins knat fly that I tied. There were rainbows everywhere. I assume that if we could see them, they could see us, and were spooked. There were hundreds of them just hanging out but none would bite our flies. We tried every kind of fly that I tied; wet, dry, nymphs, streamers, wooly buggers, egg patterns, nothing.

Anyway still had a great time getting out. 60 degrees and sunny. I think this new stream will be something I become quite fond of.

Did they just stock the trout??? If so, could be they were overly skittish yet. Wait a day or 2 and try again - give them time to acclimate.

Yea. Just rainbow. Kids and I helped stock on Oct 14th, so I think they've acclimated. Low water, clear water, they can see us, lots of fish, busy park, all reasons why I think. I hope to get back down there this weekend and give it another try.

Built a fly rod carrier. Just mocked up at the moment.

    The brackets were 3D printed.

The ends are threaded so that I can add pipe to do full length.

Sand, prime and paint will come after winter most likely.

Dan, you have a way to lock up your storage set up?? If not, you may want to make one.

We did. Dry flies. x caddis, comparadun and a parachute adams. First time doing adams. The parachute was difficult. Going to have to work on that.

What a great opportunity to get to do that.

I love the regular Adams dry fly for trout!! Never did a parachute, though.

Parachutes can be fun once you get the hang of them. You can either whip finish at the base of the post or you can use this method which seems to work well also:

Since swapping my dodge Ram out for my Tacoma I have been struggling a bit with storage for all of my fishing gear. The dodge (mega cab) had a massive amount of storage space in the cab behind/under the rear seat, the taco not so much. I also didn’t really want all my stuff just tumbling around in the bed. The Decked system looks really nice but with the bed being so shallow and me having a cab height shell I just don’t think it would work for me. So I went to Home Depot and picked up one of these bins from Husky and it is awesome.

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-4...Wheels-in-Black-with-Red-Lid-206201/312871610

It is long enough to fit my longest rod tube (a 10’6” 4 piece) and has plenty of room to fit all my reels, my chest pack, and my waders/boots. My net even fits inside and it is pretty long. The wheels are nice since I have a rubber bed mat, makes it easy to pull it out. It does sit taller than the bed sides though so it wouldn’t fit under a tonneau. Anyway, just thought I’d share in case someone else is looking for a storage solution!

mounted the carrier today. Used two u clamps in the middle so you don’t see it on the outside. Probably need to come up with different idea though, it’s just too tight.

looks great though. Paint will be next spring.

We finished up a couple of weeks ago or so. It was pretty great. I want to find some more.
