Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Balmy 68*, foggy, and 99%. But what's this clearing off to the North? Must be our cold front! Can't wait for the promised winds to blow everything dry this morning. Happy Saturday all!

 

I don’t watch much sports any more but I still watch college football. Looking forward to the Army Navy game today. That’s one game I kind of cheer for both teams. I think which ever team wins that game , America wins. Today I’m watching it with my closest friend who is a former naval officer and naval combat pilot. We know who he’s cheering for.
For those over 60 who still have a clue what day it is, Happy Saturday.

WE FAILED!
Went hunting with my buddy and his two grandkids this morning, we put the oldest on stand, then I sat with the Jr. hunter at another spot, and my buddy went a couple hundred yds. away at another spot. These are all good spots with multiple rubs and multiple trails where we have seen deer before, and figured someone would see something, none of us even saw a tail!
We still have late archery and flintlock, maybe, just maybe, we can get them to see some deer.

 

At least you got a chance to be with some young hunters it helps with the frustration, to keep them interested. I'm sure it's not the first time for you and you still enjoy it. Kinda like fishing you know they're down there you just need a chance. You were ready for them. A couple guys I know filled their tags a couple didn't. Seems like some of the zones had more visible deer than others around here depending on the harvest. The guys that didn't had a lot of standing corn.

 

Mission Accomplished before game time! (Well, todays mission, which was just the tailgate.) All the new stuff was "almost perfect", but good enough for a tailgate! Put a new cap on it - the old one was missing about half the little stab feet.






Next up, flare repair and install!

Weather is a little spicy here in Middle Tennessee , Tornadoes are popping up here in Northern middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky

My daughter got married yesterday! Thankfully, I did manage to walk gracefully down the aisle, didn't face the plant, nor step on her train. Success!

The best way to live with Parkinson's is to reduce stress. Candid shot with two of the kids, I did my best to remember to smile (oops)
and no one warned me about my tie. Windsor knot, fumbling fingers, oh what the heck, I had a great time.

Dronin' today a bit....

Launch elevation was @ 7200' and went up another 385' (400' is FAA max)

Voice inside drone says 'max altitude reached' at just under 400'

3800' away from pad.....easy to get nervous out that far....( I crashed & lost one )
