My Gf is getting the new SS camaro with stick. I cant wait to drive this beast

 

Nice, 6mt is the way to go. I will either get the red or orange to keep the wife happy. Saving for the down payment now.

 

Yea she is getting the car with sunroof and rally yellow, so the cops can spot us quicker. She putting a huge down payment on it 20k.

 

Damn I feel petty with the 5k I am putting down. The chevy dealer in glenadale has a 2ss in yellow.

 

she already order it from san gabriel chevy dealership. we have looked for 1 year and found that a sunroof and stick is hard to come by. So she order a SS/RS Camaro/ Stick/ Sunroof/ Yellow. It is supposed to get here in middle april.

I could never order a car. Can't stand the wait. Look on some of the camaro forums as I know chevy is having big problems with the trucking company that makes the deleveries.

 

that is not good . Hoping all works out so when she gets her new car we can roll out to vegas

 

Last time I read about it the trucking company held hostage like 1500 vehicles and chevy was suing. I read the thread at camaro5.com.

DEARBORN, Mich. -- Hundreds of new General Motors and Chrysler vehicles are parked in a holding lot in Dearborn because of a dispute between the automakers and a car-hauling company.

Chrysler and GM said their vehicles, which are supposed to be delivered to local dealerships, are being "held hostage."

The dispute is over how much the car-hauling company, Allied Systems, has asked the automakers to pay.

According to a driver for Allied Systems, the dispute started when Allied cut drivers' pay by 20 percent.

The driver, who asked not to be identified, said Allied Systems backed off the pay cut after the drivers' union threatened to strike.

The driver said at that point Allied Systems tried to make up the difference by imposing a fuel surcharge on the automakers.

General Motors and Chrysler have refused to pay the surcharge and have sued Allied Systems, demanding the vehicles be delivered.

The dispute has left auto salespersons, customers and delivery drivers caught in the middle.

"I feel like I'm in limbo," said one car-hauler who asked not to be identified. "It feels like it's a waiting game and we're kind of stuck in the middle. And we're just very hopeful that this gets worked out soon."

Car-haulers said they are also concerned about what the legal dispute will do to their jobs.

"The concern for my job is there because it's a battle between two very large companies," said a driver who works for Allied Systems. "I'm just hoping they can meet in the middle because a lot of people's livelihoods are at stake here."

 

If the ss I buy has them cool and if it doesn't oh well. I read that article about the trucking company. I don't think they will be getting too much business any more.

 

the problem is the strips are a decal not actual paint. I personally think if you are laying that kinda money the strips should be painted on.

 

Yeah I have read about them fading and hard to clean if you don't wash the car often. I guess that's why they are only $200.

 

are you looking at the SS or RS???

 

RS is a package for all the different versions, but yeah ss with the rs package. better wheels and hid's and the gauge cluster on the center console.

 

that is what my g/f getting... she was not sure weather to order it with rs or not. But she got the ss/rs package.

 

for 1200 more it's a deal, better wheels, all body parts are color matched, hid's, ambient lighting inside and some other interior options.
