I very seriously considered those for awhile but they're kinda a ripoff. You're getting a sheet metal gun cabinet with some fancy holders for $800+100 shipping for the stripped model or $1100 shipped for the one with all the snazzy organization accessories (those prices are with the current sale). That's in the same price range as many of the budget heavier duty, American made, fire rated safes.

I love the concept but for that kind of money I'd say either get an actual fire rated gun safe or save $700 and get a cheaper sheet metal gun cabinet. It's not that hard to move a ~75lb gun cabinet with no disassembly.

Do you guys have recommendations on gunsmith around the north end? I am going to need some parts put on my Benelli m4. new trigger, magazine tube, and collapsible stock. I know if I took the time, I could do the trigger and stock, but I know the tube is gonna be a bitch, requiring heat. Yes, I could do it. However, I have less time and some money put aside to have a pro do it. I dont want to just take it to another dude like me that can "work" on guns.

    Recommendations?

https://graffundersafes.com/contact/ is a Yakima, WA, company which might save you some shipping on a top quality safe.

Anybody have gun show/sale recommendations? Looking to hit a few up, to get my hands on a few different pistols, but wanted to know any real life experiences of shows to avoid or ones to definitely hit up.

    Thanks!

In my experience. Unless you’re looking for some classic or one off item. Just going to a large gun shop is more beneficial. I went to 4 or 5 shows and have always ended up getting a better experience at my local shop.

This. Gun shows aren't what they were 15 years ago. It's hard to find any kind of deal at them now. I get better deals at my preferred LGS than gun shows.

Ah, appreciate the insight! I'd ultimately rather get something from a local shop.

Kind of like others have said...the WA gun shows are pretty meh. Unless its changed (i doubt it) its mostly FFL's with tables, "junk" tables, and then over priced used stuff from those who do get tables for themselves. And having talked to a few who do have tables at those shows....most of the "good stuff" is gone before the show even starts. They set up their tables then everyone walks around looking at the other tables. Basically getting first dibs on things.

There’s a show in Puyallup this weekend. Have never seen good deals on modern pistols.

So....went to a private Range Day over in Graham on Sunday. A few of the local gun companies came out. One of them dropped a .50cal can onto the table, plopped a rifle down, and said have fun.

I’d be in trouble if I said yes. But what you making room for? That is a pretty nice gun to be giving up.

Thats badass. Reminds me of the time in college we were at the national forest shooting range outside of town and a guy showed up with a Barrett M107 and asked if we wanted to shoot it. Obviously we said hell yeah. After shooting he gave us each a business card. Turned out he was opening a new gun shop in town and was trying to get his name out. It worked.

It is a supper nice piece but my safe can only hold so much guns. Already have 3 1911 so figured I could let this one go.
But say yes and possibly we can work out a deal :)

Needless to say, the day was a blast. I dunno if he's out again for this weekend's Discovery Daddies event (I'm on call and couldn't go), but his company makes good stuff. Sounds like he wants me for decal and photography work in a few weeks.
