I accidentally won a ThinkPad T42 last night with Radeon Pro graphics

 

Classic, possibly the best Enterprise laptop of the Windows XP Vista era. Y tho?

 

Was drinking, mom and brother were over for quite awhile so this was late night when everyone was gone (and wife and kiddo passed out)

I kept telling myself "man, I wanna run my old Diablo discs and other games" so I submitted a $50 offer.

This morning, accepted and auto-paid

 

Was one of my first newish laptops in 2005. They're good, pretty sure they're so long lived you can still get a new battery for it

NV has been good, I've never played it before so it's been kind of addicting lol. I think I'm getting close to finishing the story though. This is my least favorite time of year so it's been a welcome distraction

Fun fact the graphics in that are just barely good enough to play Half-Life 2. Although I'm pretty sure if you install the current version which you shouldn't be able to anymore cuz steam won't run on Windows XP it wouldn't run at all because they keep updating the source engine. But I have the original Half-Life 2 before steam was a thing and on the original source engine it will run on that laptop.

 

He's up and playing now, and the Midol is legit a real head-ache reliever (the only medicine I'll ever take)

I still need to buy Fallout based on your recommendation and Zane's, just been tuned into other stuff

I remember getting an open box deal on a Radeon 800 and being so so stoked to be able to play it the first time lol

I still have the original game discs
